"We lived in Okinawa, Japan for over 8 years and have made the lifestyle our own, but once we returned stateside we felt a bit out of place especially when it came to cuisines. My husband missed the Four Seasons Oruko so much that we literally tried soooo many hibachi places to satisfy the hunger and feeling of Okinawa. They all failed in some aspect. "Great food and service. It was highly recommended by a long-time resident who works at Tractor Supply. Never would have found it on my own. It's on a two lane rural road heading south from Groveland. My wife and I both had the prime rib, and fried green tomatoes as appetizer. Both were excellent. The person who recommended the place to me was certainly right about the prime rib. Fantastic flavor! They had a Hunter's Plate on the specials board that included quail and boar. Interesting place. I took a picture of the boar's head mounted on the wall over our table, but the picture includes my wife and she would gore me if I posted it. Loved it! Definitely going back again."

"After a long day of hiking and walking around in Yosemite, we headed back to Groveland and were as hungry as it gets. Pizza came to our mind and we called up folks at Two Guys Pizza Pies and placed orders for medium sized veggie pizza with Pineapple topping additional) and an Extra cheese Pizza.This probably was the longest hour and thirty minutes drive that we ever took attributed to the hunger pangs and the thought of those yummy pizza slices.Reached the place and dashed to the pickup desk where Jim helped us with the order and due diligence around it. Quick in and quicker out made it just perfect for us to head back and enjoy the pizzas.As a family while devouring the slices ,we had the opinion that these were probably the best pizza bites that we have had in a while and it had nothing to do with us being overly hungry, as they tasted awesome, were rich with the toppings and were eye appealing with the finish.Definitely would recommend their Pizza in case you happen to be around irrespective of the fact if you have hiked or slept through your entire day) since it tastes amazingly awesome!!Happy slicing those pies!!"

"During our most recent visit to. Yosemite National Park, we stayed at a B&B in Groveland, CA. Cocina Michoacana was walking distance from where we stayed and was recommended by our B&B Host. We had dinner there on a Wednesday night. The restaurant is small so there was a short wait to get seated. They had 8 to 10 tables that seemed spaced out due to Covid recommendations. Once seated, we were served water, chips and salsa on the house almost immediately. They took our order and served our dinner within 10-15 minutes. Everything was fresh and hot when served. I had a dinner salad and a hard shelled taco. My husband ordered tamales. Portions were appropriate and tasted wonderful and the food tasted wonderful. Most patrons were locals that seemed to know each other that evening. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend eating there. Food is very authentic and tastes great!"

"Staying at the Hotel Charlotte for a weekend getaway and it is very sweet. Highlights: super cute owners with a little girl, EXCELLENT dinner at their tavern with a SOLID VEGAN meal! (Beyond sausage, tomato jam, carmelized onions, veg and side of veg. Absolutely perfect. I mean seriously, where can you get a solid vegan meal in the middle of nowhere?! Fantastic bartender at the tavern, very genuine and cares greatly about their drinks, very nicely decorated with rejuvenation lightening. Really friendly staff, new sitting area out back that's very comfortable with solid music choices. It's a little rustic, super casual and chill but really comfortable with staff who are really happy business is back. Hands down, solid and extremely reasonably priced given the area. Without doubt, this is a great option to stay. Everything we need to relax after slaying it in the valley."

"I have to say you have to try. We got the roasted chicken flour with baked beans and potatoes. The beans were good and the mash was okay. We also got some gizzards and livers and they were amazing. It went through, which is not bad and waiting was not bad either. Good customer service and decent prices."

"The entire experience was fantastic. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. We tried the Uptown roll, Naruto and volcano roll. It was the best and freshest tasting sushi I have ever had. I will definitely go again soon!"

"this place is so cool! drove 50 minutes to see this place. the history of the iron door is amazing. one could hear almost the talks of the miners from the 1850s. the choice of beer was ok. they had 2 ipa to choose. bartender was not very friendly and just went about his business. it was worth the trip!"

"Give this 5 star because Service here is A+, everyone was really friendly and just very pleasant. Our waiter Mary was just amazing she made sure we were taking care of. The food was Delicious, I had an amzing Salmon and my husband ordered Tomahawk Steak it wasnt cooked to his liking but Mary and the chef took care of it and it made my husband really happy and myself aswell. We are definitely coming back here!"

"Went here on our way back from Yosemite. It was only one of the places that was open at 10 in the night. A lot of tables were taken and the place was lively. There is also a gaming room here with a lot of retro games. Kids had fun playing on these while our order was being served. We ordered 2 half half Veggie Pizza and Greek pizza. They messed up both our orders. Also, I don't know how this is possible, but the pizza base itself was undercooked. Their garlic bread however was great and soft."

"Diets off the beer here is great! I wouldn't come back for the food there aren't many options and while it wasn't bad it wasn't really dinner food maybe a good lunch though. We tried the bread stick and cheese, the flat bread pizza and blt. Our daughter had the pizza. All of it was good but not great. The blt was a very small sandwich. The beer cheese was good but super thick. The pizza was good my daughter ate the whole thing she's only one and never finishes her food. The outdoor seating was very nice and dog friendly. We stopped in on our way home from Yosemite and had our dog so it worked out well. We'd come back for beer if in the area."

"We absolutely love the Peanut Butter Wizard! It’s a fantastic deal, and since it’s close to us, we find ourselves visiting quite frequently for convenience. However, we've noticed that the ice cream sometimes tastes like it has freezer burn or isn’t fresh. It’s a bit hard to articulate, but it has a somewhat stale quality that impacts its creamy texture. The experience seems inconsistent; some visits are wonderful, while others fall flat."

"Under new ownership within the last few years, this is a big street diver. Whether you are on your way to or from Yosemite National Park. The business has changed hands within recent years and the new owners have made significant improvements. It takes the influence of a 50's diner with a comfortable atmosphere. I remember the day when this was probably one of the busiest companies on the mountain. The Rim fire has devastated companies across the region and Lucky Buck-Café crawls up again. The waiting staff is very friendly and appreciated by your business. There is a fairly important selection of meals to choose. And you won't be disappointed with the portions. They also offer a range of knickknacks, caps and T-shirts for sale. The restaurant is a little way from the street, so it is easy to drive. I recommend you slow down as soon as you see the sign that Buck Meadows says. No TV"
