"Traditional Steakhouse Country Style Johnny Bull 's offers a unique combination of classic steakhouse fare and southern home cooking. Portions are ample; service is friendly and fast. The decor is hard to define: shabby chic, upscale truck stop, almost pub or fancy diner. However you describe it, it is comfortable and neighborly. A good steakhouse test is how well it does Sirloin. This lean cut is often leathery or chewy. I found the Sirloin Steak at Johnny Bull 's to be as tender as a good rib eye and loaded with chargrill flavor. 6 oz $18.99 8 oz $20.99 including One Side, Texas Toast and Made to Order Salad or Soup). The steak was a little thin and did not stay warm very long; but still delicious. I chose the Lobster Bisque, and was glad I did. The jumbo sized bowl was filled with a thick, buttery, creamy, full flavored soup and just enough Lobster to make it interesting. We enjoyed Shrimp and Scallops $19.99 including Texas Toast and One Side). The eight Shrimp and four Scallops were perfectly grilled, tender and succulent. The crispy Waffle Cut Sweet Potato Fries rounded out an enjoyable dinner. Our favorite lunch is a Steak Wrap with Teriyaki Sauce $10.99 with One Side). Tender, tasty Steak Tips in a lightly grilled wrap with shredded Cheese, shredded Lettuce, diced Tomatoes and thinly sliced Onions. We also enjoyed the Mix and Match Special $9.99 any Two $11.99 any Three). The Grilled Cheese Sandwich on Texas Toast was rather plain at least add a pickle slice); but the very large bowl of Clam Chowder was as good as I have had thick, savory and 'clammy. ' There are thirty five items on the Salad Bar and twelve Dressings. You check off the items you want on a printed list at your table, and your server prepares your salad there is no limit as to how many items you select). Johnny Bull 's offers a basic selection of House Wines for the very reasonable price of $6.00 per glass or $18.00 per bottle. The Cabernet Sauvignon was full bodied and nicely dry."
