"We ate at The Carlyle last night for the first time in many years. It is improved from the Covid days but still has a ways to go to return to her previous glory. The service was good, not amazing. The food was very good and doesn’t have too far to go but the crowds are still smaller which means the best dishes will not return until they can sell enough of them to merit it. It is recovering though which is a first step. They really need to start charging an 18 percent tip on every bill so they can keep the great waiters and waitresses they have had! Service here was great accommodating a large group late at night. They were very attentive and brought the food out quickly. Prices in portions are fair, everything was delicious. Very welcoming and well run restaurant. Plenty of seating, they have two floors as well as private rooms available. Great option for the area!

My favorite restaurant in shirlington. Amazing atmosphere and service. I regularly order online and go in person and it's consistently delicious. Great bartenders as well. I even took my father here who is a notoriously picky eater and he loved it. Everything is always fresh and if it's warm outside they have a very spacious patio area. Surprisingly they have an amazing filet (I usually don't order steak from places other than steakhouses, but they do a very good job here). They also have spectacular salads if you want something lighter. They don't have a very good wine or beer selection but the bartenders there are usually pretty talented and make great cocktails.
