"Walking through Bolton Landing, we were drawn in by the cozy entrance, tented with fireplaces. The decor inside here is beautiful! I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs while my parents both ordered the lasagna as it was described as buddy 's special recipe. My mother felt like they overdid it with the basil and my dad even commented that the food tasted like they were just getting rid of what they had for the season. Cates has been the favorite since 1995. Things have changed since then but no complaints. The pizza and food is worth the wait or any minor inconveniences that come with busy tourist season. Leave some time, sit back and enjoy yourself and what they have to offer.

My food came out 15 minutes later than the rest of my groups and there was no apology or acknowledgement from the waiter for the delay. The portion sizes of the different entrees varied widely a Caesar salad was quite small, my chicken piccata was medium size, and the chicken parm was huge. All food was acceptable tasting but not delicious or special by any means

We 've always wanted to try this place on our summer vacations, and tonight was the night. We came with a party of 11 and everyone loved their meals. The lasagna was especially good, as was the pasta with vodka sauce. The cod special was also outstanding. Not much else to say, just a really solid dining experience. We 'll definitely be adding Cate 's to our list of go to places in the Lake George area.

"my wife and I celebrated here an anniversary weekend and cannot say enough good things about it. the food was excellent. the service was similar excellent and also the ambiente was great. the owner came by and asked how everything was, what is no longer something you see very often. I highly recommend that you find yourself in the Bolton Landing/Lake george area and eat for great food and look for a good atmosphere."

"Friendly owner, excellent service and beautifully decorated tap room with lots of natural light. Beers are delicious and often change what makes it interesting for recurring customers like me! Wide range of beer and full bar for non-beer drinkers. The food is delicious, has some local ingredients and brewery style bites that mate well with the boobs. TVs are great to see the games and the music is perfect to relax. They also have a huge terrace overlooking the lake, which will be the perfect place to hang out in summer. So exciting to have BLBC in town, a great addition to Bolton Landing!"

"Excellent quality German food and definitely plentiful portions. We ordered a sample plate as the main course and we had enough meat for two lunches. The desserts were amazing and generous portions we share. Beautiful interior and exterior decor was also available. Great place for the family together. We were on vacation in Lake George and the culinary experience set a nice touch on our overall experience."

"a beautiful view, friendly waiter and a nice menu. the clam chowder is delicious very creamy and cloby. the chips that came with the sandwich were homemade and very tasty. has been happy with the garnel bowl! so much fun. the truthahn was fresh in the club and thick. the panini had a beautiful texture and mix of aromen. they treated shelters with ease, and the desserts were fabulous. the chocolate lava cake was huge and big enough for 2! the Apple crisis was a beautiful autumn selection. this is one of our new favorites and we come back. they have a lot of seats in the open with magnificent views."

"The Sagamore is a veritable institution within the Adirondacks and La Bella Vita is the main restaurant for the resort hotel. It is very large, includes a good sized bar/entrance, a very spacious interior eating area and an equally large terrace facing the interior grounds and Lake George. It is all quite spectacular. The menu is extensive with an emphasis on seafood, and most palettes should be satisfied. We only stopped by for lunch (we were not staying on site) and had the Lobster Ravioli (very good), a Crispy Chicken Sandwich (very good) and a Caesar Salad (also good). The service was very friendly and attentive, and the food was delivered quickly and hot. All in all a very pleasant experience. Enjoy!"
