Yes, we did make a drive on a Thursday morning to get to @doughweime for their Hawaiian desserts. We got there only 8 minutes after opening and there was already 20+ people ahead of us in line. They are known for their malasadas and they also have Hawaiian mochi donuts as well (which are usually ube and black sesame . Let me tell you about the wait. Not to say anything about the malasadas those were solid. But being open 3 days a week has its drawbacks. Here 's one of them: I went on a Friday at 1:30pm. I had heard there were long lines, but being a weekday and not during the opening rush, I had hoped the line wouldn 't be TOO long. I was right. The line wasn 't long at all. Because there was NO line. Because they were closed. Sold out , the sign read, silently taunting me for driving all the way out there only to be turned back.
