I much prefer a very light batter on soft shells.The service was very friendly and we did not wait too long. Its a small restaurant and everything was made fresh and to order. The wait was worth it; but . . .That being said, I do wonder how badly COVID has impacted the kitchen staff i.e. who is cooking back there. I needed a great house cooked meal to repel mardi gras. I stopped at lunch and had a fantastic Hamburger steak, one of my favorites. they are not disappointed. nice sc-feeches. great way to go, Mardi-Gras. early there, they fill up quickly.
