"Went for Mother’s Day. Staff was welcoming and wait staff attentive. However, the food was marginal. Two of us ordered the Cobb salad. One came out with the promised ingredients. The other came out minus the chicken, which was corrected when pointed out , but really Salads were standard and uninteresting for $18.00. The hamburger and fries were ordinary. The wines were also mediocre. The patio is lovely and a drink there would be all I would return for. Noise level was deafening. Not worth the price. Rent there must be a fortune, but the food must justify the price."

This is a very special, just the right size restaurant. You can eat inside or out, beautiful furnishings and many selections to choose from. I have eaten here five times since it opened, with from 2 to 8 people. Love it!

This was our second time at Porta Via. We sat inside and the cloth upholstery in the booths was very comfortable and inviting. I had the shrimp pasta special and my wife had the roast chicken which was moist and tasty. Have lived in the Palisades for thirty years and this is my new favorite restaurant. Keep it a secret!

We showed up early, there was a table open, but they had let us wait 20 minutes. We were a party of four and waited for another 4 tops. The open table remained open all the time we waited and for another 10 minutes after we sat when a party of 3 was placed there; strange way to run a business. Eating was just ok and the service was slower than I wished. Also, they are quite expensive and not valid for parking.
