Went here after going to the music what love. I ordered the crunchy roll and shared garlic edamame. The garlic edamame didn't have any garlic. In fact, it was sweet. So that was disappointing especially when I asked if they used fresh crushed garlic. The crunchy roll was good. Ordered a Diet Coke and it was flat. Service was ok. I don't I'll be back since I don't live in the area.

I have been going to Sushi House since the kids were in Elementary School. They are now 30 and 32. Same family owns it for all these years, although the parents did retire. Same man named John (Asian if you are counting on that) still behind the sushi bar, making amazing sushi. They have added a Mexican man behind the Sushi Bar who has kids that are vegan and makes incredible Vegan Rolls. Make sure you ask for John, if you are not vegan and you will be satisfied every time. It has always been slower service.... but not rude service, and not so slow that you even notice. Order Edamame or salad like any other restaurant... and the rolls will come next! I am eating lunch with a girlfriend tomor...

TRUTH. There are only two places in Encinitas that are worth stopping at in. Any negatives about Sushi House are written by jealous competitors who at one time worked at Sushi House. Sixteen years they have led the sushi revolution and still do to this day. Blue Fin is a joke. He plagiarized what he learned and then went flat when he had to do it on his own. We have lived in Encinitas for 27 years, traveled the globe and know good sushi. John and his family know fish and how to create great taste sensations. Don't be fooled! John at Sushi House rocks.
