"Since the reopening with a new owner and under a the new manager, Abie, they have made Fumio Grill and Sushi my favorite restaurant. There's really no way to describe just how amazing this restaurant is. The menu is exceptionally creative, mixing American cuisine, steak and sushi. The quality of the food is superb and the portions are huge. The short ribs are my favorite The meat was so tender I didn't use my knife once and the flavors were perfect. The service was attentive without being over bearing. This restaurant definitely knows what they're doing and I wish them nothing but success and a long, long, long tenure. Can't wait to go back."

"We booked this on the basis of the 4+ star OoenTable reviews. Food was good and tasty burrata, mushroom croquettes, patatas bravas, quinoa salad, and roasted brussel sprouts. Tapas can be pricy and these with a glass of wine topped $120 for two. Suggested tips on the bill were in the range 20 30%. Odd seating plan the front was almost deserted while the back was noisy. They forgot two of the tapas for over 30 minutes."

"We have been coming here for some time. The service is always slow but the food is very good. This time was different. It was Valentines Day weekend and very busy, but it is usually busy. It took almost minutes for the waitress to come to our table and take our order. I had to flag someone down to ask for water. The hummus appy tasted flat as if it was made days ago or lacking in flavor enhancements like lemon and garlic. One entrÃe, the okra dinner was awful. It wasn't even the color of okra. It tasted as if it was frozen for many months and just reheated. There was no flavor and unfortunately did not smell right. We didn't eat most of it fearing we might get sick. When they finally came to clear our plates, we told them that. At least they deducted this entrÃe price from the bill. I have made okra for years and know what it tastes like and what it is supposed to look like. The other entrees, chicken shish with salad were fine. But not once did the waitress come to check on us and ask how our meals were. Sadly, we won't be returning. The experience spoiled what could have been a nice Valentines Day meal."

Great atmosphere clean rarely in New York are the bathrooms impeccable. The soy sauce had a chip in it, but that's picky. Working, but not overcrowded. The chefs and fresh fish were clean what you want in a sushi place."

"I ordered kadai paneer, mango lassi, garlic naan, rasmalai and aloo tikki chole. I had aloo tikki chole first and it was literally chef’s kiss ? I cannot describe how good it was. It filled my stomach for three ish hours as well. The mango lassi was pretty good too. Then for dinner, I opened up the kadai paneer and it just looked bad. The gravy was poorly made by just looking at it. It wasn’t made with milk. Just a lot of residual water. There was a lot of onions and tomatoes. The paneer was cut in rectangles instead of cubes and the entire thing really had no flavor. It just tasted like water, capsicum, onion and sometimes paneer but all separately. It just didn’t go together. I was extremely disappointed because after having the aloo chole tikki, I had insanely high expectations. I usually finish my meal no matter how bad it is but this just wasn’t worth it. It tasted like water and the texture was bad that I couldn’t bring myself to eat the whole thing. The naan was fine. It was like any other garlic naan. Rasmalai tastes alright as well. I’m just sad that my actual dinner didn’t taste good and everything else did. This would be my GO TO restaurant if it weren’t for the bad kadai paneer. I wouldn’t order from this place again. Maybe go in person to have aloo chole tikki but it’s not worth with all the delivery fee and tip charges to have below par dinner."

"The fried calamari is the best I've ever had and I love calamari. We started with the trio of dips with pita and they were amazing too especially the roasted egg plant and tzakiki. We also tried the roast lamb on orzo with a tomato sauce. Very tasty but the calamari was still the best. Highly recommended. We were lucky to find this place before 6.30 pm so the food was happy hour half price. Even better. Excellent friendly service and a very nice place to eat."

"If participating in Restaurant Week is a way to welcome new customers, it did not work. Waiter was abrupt, rushed frequently walked away while ordering food or coffee; did not even welcome nor introduced himself. Poor first impression. Food portions were very small. Appetizer “flatbread” w/ mozeralla di Bufalo was too hard oversalted, main dish was poached Chilean sea bass..solo. Dessert was a torte square literally 1 wide by 1.5 tall. Please. Pinot Noir was served very warm, too warm to enjoy. Though I have never done this, I had to but an ice cube in it to enjoy. Most disappointing lunch. Atmosphere in restaurant and host was nice dishes were presented well. But due to waiter, food quality portion size,, I would not return."
