"Being from Montana, its hard to find places out here that replicate the hospitality nearly every restaraunt has in Montana. This is likely due to the fact that this place is chock full of heartless chain restaurants. The hallmark of a truly good restaurant can be seen in the wear in the carpet, the chips in the paint, and the hospitality of waiters and waitresses alike. This place had just the right serving of each. The food is great and the the hot cocoa has sprinkles! definitely will be stopping by again soon."

"My husband and I are new to this area and we have been trying out different places all over town. Dixie diner by far has out done them all we had the best service the best food at the best prices then anywhere else that we have tried in Idaho Falls! If you have not eaten there I highly recommend this restaurant the waitress Jen was amazing."

"Smelled like sewer. The hostess was very pleasant, and only reason I didn't put down 1* for service. The older woman bringing out the food was rude and short with us. My chicken fried steak was disgusting. Shriveled up slimy processed meat patty I'd expect from a $2 microwave dinner. Obviously poor quality prepackaged frozen cafeteria grade, but charge customers 14 bucks for it. I didn't even eat it."

"Not busy. Sat down and ordered our food. About 10 min later a group of locals came in and ordered. They got their food while we waited on a simple order. About 30 min in still no food. Paid for drinks and left. Excuse was that they were short of staff. No true apology or admit that the locals get served first"

"Having grown up in Winston-Salem, Staley's was a well-known name, with their last location closing in 2003 on Reynolda Road. Before opening in Winston-Salem, the Staley brothers operated a café in Roaring River. Today, the special at Ed's Café was a tasty Country-style steak with mashed potatoes, pinto beans, and cornbread, all served flawlessly. The cheeseburger was especially outstanding, hand-formed and not your typical frozen patty, making it a favorite among diners."

"We are new to the Reno area and are exploring breakfast places. Hometown Cafe came up in a Google search and decided to try it out. Located in North Reno on Lemmon Drive, it isn 't hard to find. It is just a bit out of the way. The interior is a bit dated but clean. It has a old time vibe. The staff is right on the spot bussing tables and the service staff is efficient in drink and food orders. The menu is quite extensive. All of the classics are present plus a bunch of south-of-the- border selections. The wife choose a California omelet which is a spinach, bacon, mushroom and cheese creation. I had a chicken fried steak. The California omelet was larger than average with an abundant amount of fresh veggies. The wife reports that taste and texture were very good. The chicken fried steak appeared to be house made. The meat itself had the texture of a 'cubed steak ' (tenderized beef) that you can buy at the supermarket. The gravy was a little on the bland side but it was better than being salty or have an uncooked flour taste. Overall a damn good meal. Overall a very good breakfast place."
