"Google tells me the last time I was here, was 4 years ago. I can't believe I waited so long to come back This place is great. We started out with the chefs special blackened ahi tuna, I would've sworn we received a double portion, it was huge and delicious. We both had French onion soup and massive salads. Our waitress was wonderful and definitely look forward to coming back again soon."

"Amazing food for the most part but drinks mixed were terrible. What awful triple sec do you guys use? Certainly not cointreu. A cosmopolitan is supposed to be cloudy and taste great with hints of freshly squeezed lime juice and a hint of syrup... a cosmo doesn't taste like 90% cranberry juice and 10% vodka. What kind of bartender does that?"

"We arrived at the Carriage House Restaurant in Emmitsburg, MD on Thursday, 1/2 hour early for our 1 pm reservation. We sat right away. I had a crab cake with potatoes. They were excellent. The food came within 10 minutes. Early on Easter Sunday we stayed there with a family meeting and it took us 1 1/2 hours to accommodate our 1 pm seat. So it's the way to plan when to go. On holidays the Carriage House is packed. During a regular weekday it is not packed and really pleasant. It is about 30 minutes north of Frederick, MD straight from US 15. Every time I was there, the food was fabulous."

"Traveling from Gettysburg to Maine, my daughter wanted a New York window. This place was highly rated and so we decided to try. Finding a place to park with my camper on the back was interesting, but the pizza made it worth the effort. All five of us have another slice and then we have an order of garlic rolls all for $27. We loved every slice. Great taste and great ingredients. Friendly service. Apparently, they know their regulars as a server that welcomes you by name. Thanks for a good lunch."

"I love taking my 6 year old son on adventures during the summer. We live in NYC and he LOVES trains so I decided to take Metro North to South Norwalk. After walking around he said he was hungry so he walked until he stopped in front of Slice of Italy. “ Let’s eat here mommy.” And so we walked in and we were greeted with a BIG WELCOME and smile by a lovely young lady who told us we could sit wherever we wished. He picked to sit outside we were immediately greeted again by the same young lady. He ordered a small pizza and I the antipasto salad the menu had a huge variety and everything looked AMAZING but, we were pressed for time. I noticed they had tamarind juice on the menu which I have NEVER seen at a restaurant before as a kid my mom always made me tamarind juice) so I ordered it, unfortunately she told me they had not made any yet but she had passion fruit so I said it’s ok I’ll take the passion fruit. Our food came out and it was delicious and then our LOVELY waitress comes out with a juice TAMARIND JUICE) and said she rushed to make me a fresh juice so I could have…. NICOLE is her name and she is SUCH a amazing server! I have been in this business for over 30 years and lately it is impossible to find such GREAT service. So if ever you’re in south Norwalk and are long for great food and phenomenal service please eat at Slice of Italy and if you’re really lucky maybe Nicole will be there to take care of you."

"Loved this restaurant. To run around their docks to see how people feed the many Tarpon fish of all sizes. Had drinks in their bar and then went to the dining room with many windows and views of the water and the yachts. Our meal was notch and so was our waiter. We ordered 2 bottles of red wine, appetizers: tomato soup, fish with vegetables, shrimps and a free plate of cheese bites. All were very good. Our ducks were excellent: Sea bass with sweet potatoes and green beans; Cario Fish and Halibut Dinner. Vanilla ice cream for dessert. What a delightful day for good food and atmosphere."

"The food was very delicious. I ordered escovitch fish with pineapple fried rice and the pepper shrimp with house special fried rice. The house special fried rice was really really good. It was very delicious and I highly recommend. The fish was very tasty and I would order again. The meal wouldn't be complete without a tom boy lemonade."

"Horrible horrible horrible customer service and FOOD YUCK So on thanksgiving we decided to order 4 dinners because it was just easier for us, while we were catering to 2 elderly family members BIG MISTAKE The dinners were the worst meals we have ever had. The Supposed turkey seems like it was a sliced turkey from Cold Cuts The sweet potatoes looked like a colored pile of mud that was just disgusting. The stuffing well, that tasted like sand. EVERYTHING was just BAD. When I called to speak to someone that said they were the owner, after having a hard time with her, she said she will refund only 3 of the dinners. 4 days later and still no refund. Called today and she said Call your bank and get it because she will not refund it. Big big mistake dealing with this diner. Much better places around to go to than this disgusting place."
