"We arrived at the Carriage House Restaurant in Emmitsburg, MD on Thursday, 1/2 hour early for our 1 pm reservation. We sat right away. I had a crab cake with potatoes. They were excellent. The food came within 10 minutes. Early on Easter Sunday we stayed there with a family meeting and it took us 1 1/2 hours to accommodate our 1 pm seat. So it's the way to plan when to go. On holidays the Carriage House is packed. During a regular weekday it is not packed and really pleasant. It is about 30 minutes north of Frederick, MD straight from US 15. Every time I was there, the food was fabulous."

Although we live about an hour away, the Carriage House in Emmitsburg is one of our favorite places for lunch. Food and service are always excellent. You have a good selection of items on your menu. Very nice ambience. We look forward to our next visit to Carriage House.
