"Our food was great but the service was awful. We waited 30 minutes to receive our check, as did the table next to us that had small children. During that time, our plates weren't even cleared. When our table of 6 asked for refills on drinks, she took each glass away, one at a time, and brought it back. Whenever we asked for something, such as salt and pepper, she acted as if we were putting her out or asking for something special or unreasonable. She wore a rumpled shirt that looked like she had just gotten out of bed, not something you expect for the menu price. Our service at this restaurant has never been very friendly but at least we received service."

"My husband and I visited this restaurant for breakfast after dropping off the kids at school to enjoy some alone time. The breakfast was delicious - I had the Turkey Polish Sausage, potatoes, and eggs, while my husband had the sweet potato waffle, chicken wings, and eggs. The food was well seasoned and you could taste the love put into it. Our server, a young guy, checked on us often and made sure we had refills on our beverages. The cook even came out to ask how we liked our food, which we really appreciated. We will definitely be returning for more delicious meals."

"Friday last week June 25 I ordered curry chicken rice peas and cabbage with jerk chicken rice peas and cabbage and the food looked good but the jerk chicken gravy was like Louisiana burned charcoal gravy salty and not jerk chicken I’ve ever eaten and the rice and peas tasted like water literally on both platters ……I immediately called and folds I would be able to get two dinners at s later date by the young supposedly manager ……… so today it’s Saturday July 2 I called politely told them who I was a young lady says hold on I didn’t speak with you ….. she came back and said again hold on ….. the young man came to the phone remembering me and telling me “I can get the rice for free and pay for chicken and cabbage two free drinks etc …..no I’m not paying for nothing after being promised two meals’ …..he then said no mind you can get both after I reminded him of our conversation….you run a business I am a consumer I’m spending my monies and Jamaican food is suppose to be authentically good! I’m upset! So I tried to call them back it’s apparent my number is blocked …I wanted to politely call back and tell them thanks and not to fix the food I’d rather take the loss $28 and go next door to the Chinese place who by the way had delicious really good fresh food and you won’t go wrong!! With the attitude I won’t trust what he may do to my fodd! And just know there is much better Jamaican food in RVA. It’s not fair that you think you can reset the button when as a consumer I trust you will treat me right as a consumer if you want me to support your authentic option as food! Good luck! I’ decided to call the Midlothian location asked to speak with the owner!!!!! When I tell you the jerk chicken the curry chicken was A+ and done! I will definitely go there for my Jamaican!!!!!!it is in the total opposite side of town but it was worth the ride and I appreciate the owner making up for the mishap! Thx!"

"My Dominican friend Manny brought me to this restaurant to introduce me to Dominican cuisine, and it was an incredible experience. The service was outstanding; everyone was friendly, warm, and welcoming. The food was absolutely fantastic. We each ordered two whole fish that were perfectly battered and fried. The natural juice and lemonade were both delightful. I had some yellow rice topped with beans, which was delicious. I will definitely be returning. I truly enjoyed every aspect of this place!"

"The idea of this place is great! Applaud them for that! But sadly, execution or probably more like lack of demand for a fresh seafood and butchery in Waco? Have pretty much doomed it : Had prime ribeye steaks cut, They were very very tough. But the worst part was the fresh corn on the cob. When I opened it it smelled funky but I cooked it anyway. Totally inedible I imagine looked pleasing but like just totally rotten?Still don't like that they had NO coffee except by cup And wish I had gotten a picture of this swordfish. It was so pathetic. Tiny thin pieces. Absolutely zero resemblance to a hunk of fresh swordfish from New England.Needs 100% revamp? Half an aisle of flavored candy corn? And no coffee??I know, no one cares. I don't know why I'm wasting my breath :"

"this place is sweet for the place, and I like this feeling. it doesn't feel disturbing, and that wouldn't fit like that! the service is real and personal. the decor is covered like the ambiente. when they get in, they are welcomed and can see some of the daily back offers. this place is quite veg friendly when considering where it is located, it is not super metro friendly or in a high traffic area. they have fries, veggie sites, a hummus sandwich, a tofu sandwich, some salads and a vegan gyro. all these choices can be vegan, and they are pretty filing. However, if they hope that after a sandwich here they feel like a health food, they think again. Many taste and oil, but if they know what to expect, they will not be disappointed. if they order horses, what do they expect? if they order sautéed veggies, what do they expect (i.e. not damped). the fries are made fresh, but they are not as crispy as I want. the gyro was loaded with fake meat (since-style,) aubergine, golden brown tweezers and vegan mayo, along with fresh spinat (better as salat gurken and tomaten). I appreciated the fresh veggies in contrast to the rich side and mayo. the brot was fab, although it was white flour. because it is not a Veg*n restaurant, it cannot get 4 out of 5 as it starts at 4. So, for what it does, I like it, and I appreciate this business! the prices are moderate for a local business. be glad they support a local business! they are good people!"

"I like the old menu better I wanted hash browns with onions grits was the only option. Plating was nice corn not seasoned mash potatoes cold chicken asked for well done chicken it wasn't. Server was nice cook was willing to fix breakfast even though it was after 12 noon. Remodeling looks good as well. Have always like Betty's but they I wasn't satisfied this time around. Get back that good old fried chicken please"

"We went on a Saturday afternoon and while there was no wait everything else was not up to standard. Parking is a mess. There is no parking. It seems like it is just a lot and people park anyway they can get in. When we entered no one was at the hostess counter then some lady came from the dining area to see what was going on and her demeanor was not good. "My goodness, the food was delicious. I had the oxtails and really enjoyed them. The price of the food was great. Ordered 4 entrees, 2 coco bread and my total was under $65. Definitely coming back next time am in GA. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20"
