"I ate yesterday in san chez bistro (caffe) and was very disappointed. it seems to me inevitable that a restaurant of this kaliber seems confused what vegan means. first they need to request a special vegan / vegetarian menu. this special menu must be a reprint of some of the recipes from their main menu, because almost all recipes have meat and eggs in them with the opportunity to exchange these ingredients for dinge like mushrooms and their mysterious non- vegan eierersatz. there were about vegan lunches that were not salads. my man ordered a falafel type sandwich and that seemed good to go, it even came with some delicious (if very fat) kartoffels. one of the other vegan sandwiches had the opportunity to swallow the meat for mushrooms, but still came with ice, so obviously was not an option. this sandwich was labeled as vegan on their menu, but just as clear it wasn't vegan. I ordered the third choice that seemed to be vegan. apparently it wasn't and I had to make the waitress clear several times that yes, I am vegan and that means that I don't eat an egg that is not vegan. they ended up falling the fake non vegan eggs and additional spinat and guacamole to my sandwich for which they extra charged me. I ended up in a round with the same sandwich as my man only I was extra calculated to make it vegan. overall this was a very frustrating experience. I would love this restaurant. it is in a great location and is a fun place to go. but, if they did not in the mood for an salad, where they have them holding the animals food, I would avoid this place until they have some actual effort in their vegan menu."
