"We enjoyed such a wonderful meal at Fratello's that I can't wait to go back to enjoy more of their menu! I had eggplant rollitini and it just melted in my mouth a top perfectly cooked ziti with homemade sauce. Shrimp scampi and a traditional pasta dish were also a huge hit. Our server Kim was the best! Everyone from table bus person to the owner were extremely friendly. Thank you for a truly enjoyable and delicious meal!"

"I met up with a group of friends for a ladies brunch at this restaurant. The service was excellent, with dedicated staff who were friendly and helpful. Our waitress even offered alternative options when we mentioned our dietary needs. The pace of the meal was just right - we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves without feeling rushed. The mojitos were delicious, especially the Apricot and Coconut flavors that I personally tried. The food was also very tasty overall. I had a positive experience and look forward to returning soon, possibly with the girls next time."

"My wife and I used Frugatti's to cater our wedding at the Metro Galleries downtown on July 14. We used them because their food is outstanding as we had their most popular dishes in the chicken mushroom as well as the lasagna. We also had their famous stuffed mushrooms, salad, and rolls to finish off the meal. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious as Frugatti's did their part to make our special day perfect. Beyond the outstanding food, the service was top notch. Two young gentlemen were extremely professional and friendly serving all of our guests their food and making everyone feel important. They even served my new bride and I so that we can further feel special on our most important day. The two servers were attentive to the needs of our guests by filling up drinks often and busing the tables in a timely matter. Frugatti's was extremely easy to work with, food was outstanding, and the service at our wedding really made our day special. I can't say thank you enough and if their were more stars, I would give them to Frugatti's. We also had a lot of guests from out of town that spoke very highly of the food and service. "we chose pappardella because of the much appreciated separate gluten-free menu it offers as well as the location. the food was good, not great. there are many places in manhattan that serve a better tasting of Italian food. the service unfortunately lived up to the many reviews I had read. it was missing. even if we were not in a hurry, the slow service and the lack of attention was felt by all in our party. the manager was beautiful, but perhaps not effective administration of the staff and flow. whatever the reason for the bad service is, it is clearly a problem that needs to be fixed."

"We went for our daughters birthday on Sat of Sept We ordered the Pu Pu platter. A chicken dish, a porterhouse and a bacon wrapped fillet. The Pu Pu platter had assorted shrimp dishesmeat sticks and dumplings. One of the shrimp dishes appeared to be shrimp parm. It was a blob of tomato sauce with cheese on top. Unrecognizable just a blob of food that came out in one lump, not individual shrimp. The dumplings ware all I can say is slimy. Very strange. My porterhouse had absolutely no flavor, ho grill marks , no sear, nothing. It looked like it was take from frozen and put in an over. I also ordered a wild mushroom sauce, salty and gloppy. My daughters fillet was about the size of an egg and according to her tasteless also. I expect a restaurant that has the name of a steak in its name and server steak, to actually serve tasty food. Steer clear and don't waste your money. Oh and it wasn't cheap either. Really disappointing. Wont be back"

"I’ll start off by saying I love to cook and I’m good at it so I’m pretty fussy when it comes to food. Black Bull provides very good food and excellent service. Our waiter Leo was polite and attentive as was all of the staff that we interacted with. We had the stuffed mushroom app (a little bland), Panzanella Salad (excellent), tomahawk steak for two (very good), brussels sprouts (excellent), truffle mashed potatoes (good) and Italian hot peppers (very spicy but I like spicy). Their homemade steak sauce is delicious they should bottle it and sell it. We had the apple strudel for desert (very good) but wished for a bit more gelato. For two we spent just shy of $400 (I think that was including a $75 tip). We also have enough leftovers for another meal. All in all a nice place and we’ll definitely go back. BTW there is a speakeasy downstairs, I was surprised to learn you could smoke cigars down there because you couldn’t smell them at all in the dining area."

"The host at this restaurant was extremely unwelcoming, showing rudeness and using inappropriate language. Despite having made a reservation, he expressed no interest in accommodating it. The wait staff was unpleasant and inattentive, giving off an attitude as if they were doing us a favor by serving us. The busboys were the only pleasant ones and should have been serving customers instead. We were given dirty wine glasses with lipstick on them and when we asked for clean ones, we were told there were none available and had to wait. They even neglected to serve us bread. We overheard the host telling a waitress to not bother with birthday celebrations and focus on getting customers out of their tables. This experience was so negative that we will never return to this establishment. We would rather support homeless individuals who are more appreciative."

"it was an overcrowded busy night and probably unexpected due to the tree lighting at the pier with excited groups, family and children all ordering including us a table of five. our server has done the best they could do with orders to ensure that drinks were taken care of. but the kitchen could not get up to some members of our table after their allotted hour and half to have to leave to eat a lot. we had to wait two orders after 90 minutes. we visit zanes regularly and always had a five star experience. that was unexpected, so I think of our two parts."

"The food was DELICIOUS! Kinda expensive, but definitely worth it for quality, taste and service. We sat outside to be sure of COVID and it was so beautiful! There was no waiting time and we went at 6:30, 7:00 on Thursday. Our waitress was super friendly and recommended Italian sodas with our meals. We have a vanilla and a mango passion fruit I highly recommend! The service was super fast, which was great as we were super hungry. "With so many choices for excellent dining in NYC, this restaurant needs to up its game. The food was mediocre especially the vegetarian options which were essentially devoid of flavor. The risotto was under cooked and one note in terms of flavor. Of the four diners at our table, the only happy person ordered the salmon encrusted with sesame seeds."

"Reservations were on time. Service for a sat night was OK. Food was fine, Prime Rib was very fat. Portion sizes were good, but the noise level was terrible. I couldn't hear the person next to me. Prices were also a little expensive. Weekdays and Sundays are better, but if you like Prime Rib, there is a price to pay, not only in dollars and cents, but in hearing loss."

"I agree with many of the comments here that this restaurant used to be great, but after my third visit, I have to accept that it's just not good anymore. Four slices of my cake were inedible, and when I called to complain, I was told to wait for replacements, which took over 30 minutes to arrive. There was no apology, no attempt to fix the issue, and no refund. It's important for the restaurant to improve and take care of their loyal customers while they still have them."
