"I would have loved to give this place 5 stars, and some of our group would have. But I am rating my food only, and 3.5 stars is probably more accurate, but 4 stars is very good, which mine wasn't. We were a group of almost 30 people but we didn't all order at the same time. We arrived first and started rearranging the patio tables so we could all sit together. The tables and chairs were all sticky and there was no way to wipe them down. To be fair, the kids in our party had popsicles, which left the tables even dirtier, but they were already dirty when we got there. Anyway, my husband got both of us the pulled pork with gallo pinto and maduro. When he handed me mine, it weighed about 2 pounds, which was a VERY generous portion. At first bite it was really good, but each bite after that seemed saltier than the last. By the third bite, I couldn't ear any more of the pork as all I could taste was the salt. I ate a little more of the gallo pinto, but they were salty too. I finished up the maduro, but brought the rest home. I'll manage to make something out of it with potatoes to balance the saltiness, but I was disappointed. I love this style of food, and especially look forward to it in an area where the clientele are locals, so I didn't expect it to be unpalatable. On the positive side, everyone who had made other choices were delighted with their food. Some had chicken, goat and vegetarian foods. And at the end of the meal we assisted the staff in putting all of the chairs and tables back."
