"Was very busy and as such the service lacked...it was unfortunate. Also, I had advised that we were celebrating my 60th and we had to remind the waiter about that....which is no fun, usually it is known up front. This was an overall merely OK time at Tutti Mangia....where it usued to be always amazing and perfect. Oh well :"

"Absolutely beautifully plated, clean palate pleasing dishes! Chef Massimo is the Best!! He brings out the most wonderful flavors and textures in all the dishes he prepares. He has a very very nice wine list. His dining area is very nice and beautifully decorated with wall waterfalls and nicely dimmed lighting. Very romantic. His staff is absolutely wonderful, very attentive, and friendly. Donna is a very wonderful host, always making you feel very welcomed. Thank you for making our evening Outstanding."

"The food was very much like cardboard. Hard to pin down exactly, but there are a slew of these new restaurants (mostly Italian-esque) with great looking menus and a certain clinical, kitschy ambiance (I realize that sounds somewhat oxymoronic) that are super overpriced with food that’s mostly tasteless. It’s sad"

"The food was excellent and our server Jamie did a fantastic job! It was unusually loud in the restaurant for a Monday, due to the crowd for Morini Monday."

"We celebrated my friend's birthday here! The staff reserved us a table for this occasion. They were all very sweet and remembered to wish my friend a happy birthday! The food was fresh and the dessert, Panna cotta, was absolutely melt-in-your-mouth delicious!"

"We had not been in a while and came for Valentines Day. Oh my gosh it was wonderful! Fixed price, meal and it was smazing! Lobster ravioli was perhaps the best we have had. Lobster bisque and halibut were also terrific. We pledged to not let as much time to go by before we return."

"Restaurant could not find our reservation but it was a very busy night and their book looked unreadable to me! We were early so got seated with no problem. Nice, enjoyable basic Italian food. Only issue, and not only with this restaurant , when you order baked clams, why are there also bits of shell or grit? This was a special stuffed clam so"

"One of the WORST customer service experience I have ever had. Waited over 45 minutes just to get water, let alone order a drink let alone dinner. Was to be a special night, but one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. After all that wait, the waiter comes over and says I 'm just a bartender. Meanwhile, the 6 tables of all 20-something females had drinks, dinner served before we had a waitstaff to visit our table, so it wasn 't just a short staff situation. Then, no comp, no apology, nothing. Such unprofessional service for a $200+ dinner is inexcusable. Despite reasonable food, NO NOT EVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!!"

"Food was, as usual, excellent. The chicken with olives and the chicken Milanese were great, as was the simple green salad. Wines by the glass are well chosen and fairly priced. Service was just fine. My only complaint is that the chairs used, both inside and outside, are ridiculously uncomfortable and a deterrent to coming back more often. Perhaps management might review the seating choices with diners’ comfort in mind?"

"Low-key, one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to in New Haven. The service was very friendly and accommodating (had picky kids at our table), you can tell that it is authentic based on the menu items and their fresh, delicious preparation. Highly recommend!"

"Staff was attentive and helpful. Servings were generous and delicious. Bread was crunchy and so tasty. When they brought out the dessert and all sang happy birthday it became an unforgettable event for me. Booth was comfortable and we were not hurried. We all had a great time. Thank you."

"Food Ambiance Service Price We eat here a lot, can’t say enough good. I like the Giattana chopped salad (not on the menu), the grilled Octopus, Chicken Parmesan and so many more delicious plates we’ve eaten here, can’t remember them all. Everything is very very good. The ambiance is fantastic, very charming, clean with super service. If I had one complaint it would be the prices, so I knocked one star off only. But still worth coming over and over again. We like to walk around town after a good meal, ice cream or candy from Raffys just a couple blocks down. This place is so quaint and warm."

"The waitress stood out with her exceptional friendliness, patience, and hospitality. However, the food didn't meet expectations. The pesto lacked grace and was disappointingly plain in flavor. On the bright side, the restaurant offers a decent selection of wines.Food: 3/5"

"We had dinner here for a birthday celebration and everyone enjoyed the experience at Gigino’s. This was my second time dining here. The restaurant is in a great location with scenic views of Ellis Island, The Statue of Liberty, Jersey City and the Hudson River. Very picturesque location on a nice Spring or Summer evening. We enjoyed the ambiance and service. The caveat is that restaurant is a bit outdated and only has one restroom. However, the food in my opinion was delicious and tasty. Meal portions were acceptable but appetizers were of smaller portions but of good taste. Everyone had good things to say about their meals. The cocktails were also enjoyable. Our overall experience was pleasant and we were treated well for a large party."
