"I have such a love-hate relationship with this place. It's my go-to for a quick bite, and the food is pretty good, however, the service is terrible. As for the food, if this is your first time trying Thai food, I recommend pad Thai, pad see ew, pad kra pow (the Bangkok style), kao soi, and Hainan chicken rice. Their spices are pretty spicy, so if you want mild, you should ask for spicy level 2 or 1; level 3 is on the spicier side."

"The food was great, the service was excellent; the menu is with many interesting choices and the prices were modest; the restaurant sits in an old stripe shopping center, but once in the restaurant you are greeted with a very pleasant and attractive setting; the six of us had a wonderful evening and were treated especially well by the hostess and our server; also the owner stopped by to check how we did; a very satisfying eevening"
"Their curries are the best around and their cuts from Tofu are delicious. The sweet potato tempura rolls are also the most tasteful I had. Everything on their menu is delicious and very good value. I recently moved and this is the place I miss most! Every time I'm in the area, I have to stop for their Tofu Panang Curry with a sweet potato tempura roll! Go!"

"I have to agree with the reviewer who calls this a fake thai run by Chinese. The food totally lacks nuance in flavour. We ordered a delivery of pad thai and massaman curry. Massaman curry is a dish based in a peanut sauce and there were no peanuts used in making this sauce (save for some tossed into the dish itself). Another reviewer also mentioned that the pad thai was too sweet and I must agree. This restaurant replied saying pad thai is a dish on the sweet side but it 's actually the combination of SPICES that bring out the sweetness. There weren 't real any spices used here i couldn 't taste lemongrass or thai basil, no bamboo shoots in the dish. It was all just quite bland and lacking flavour nuance. Not bad, just not worth coming back for. Also, the "thai salad ' is a total ripoff! It comes with like a few shreds of lettuce, 2 busted cherry tomatoes, 2 slices of cucumber, and HALF of a little container of a bland peanut sauce."

"The extensive menu has an amazing variety of Thai and American items, plus really affordable lunch specials. I recently tried the fried portobellos which were crunchy and delicious. The freshy rolls are always a great bet. I love the spicy eggplant chickn stir-fry. Plus there are all your classic Thai items like soups, noodles, and stews… even desserts! I have never tried anything there that I didn’t like! "

"This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Impeccable service, which is hard to find lately. The food is delicious and the chef goes out of his way to accommodate special dietary needs! I eat a plant-based diet so I ordered a vegetable sushi roll and a noodle dish with tofu, no egg. I also ordered a curry, to take home to my son. The chef took the time to come to the table to ask me if I'm vegan because many of their sauces have fish sauce as an ingredient. I didn't think of this, so I was grateful to the chef to personally come talk to me about the menu, then make my meals without fish sauce. He also brought me spring rolls instead of the typical soup and salad that's usually presented with sushi, because they had animal products in them and he could make the spring rolls vegan. The meals were reasonably priced, more than fair in today's economy. Vegetarian options: Mention you're vegan or vegetarian and they'll accommodate. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Sushi"

"Here you will find high quality sushi! I've been coming here for years and I've often commanded myself. The food is great, the fish is fresh. Your Maki roll selection is enormous. Prices are decent, although I found cheaper for comparable sushi nearby. Your non-sushi food selection is also great, so this is a place where everything can find something on the menu. Sakana has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. I'm looking forward to the next time."

"Clean, comfortable, attentive staff and an excellent cook!! I ate here after a few years. You set a new cook and WOW! The food is now Chinese and it is really excellent. The menu has changed so it has many Chinese options. I was a little concerned as I was used in the Japanese menu, but some of the favorites are still available like the Bento box, which I think is actually improved. There's something more now. The fried food is so fresh and crispy, the presentation is clean and appetite and the flavors are great. We were the only diners in the restaurant on a week's night and my only thought is that it is a hidden jewel lying in rocky hill, I wonder if it's simply missed. We were not too disappointed by the quiet culinary experience, especially with the soothing atmosphere, but you come here to eat so they can stay in business. That's so good! Supports this local business!"

"This restaurant is Asian fusion. I guess I went in expecting it to be similar to a place we have at home on South Bend, it was not! The food wasn't very good, it didn't have good sized portions and we were sorely disappointed. Service was nice and they did have bottled water. The only good thing was the service. Drunken noodles and hibachi steak was sub par. The sushi was cut so thin the filling fell out of every piece I picked up. Just wasn't very good and I would not recommend."

"The sushi was quite good. I had several rolls along with a glass of wine. The restaurant was empty when we arrived at 6 PM, but when the bill came, each item seemed a few dollars more than I had anticipated. I asked the waitress about the prices on the menu, and it turned out that everything except the wine was priced higher on the bill than what was listed. When I inquired about this, the waitress brought the manager over. The manager pointed out a sign at the front indicating that the menu prices were incorrect. I asked how we were supposed to know the actual prices, and the manager replied that they were listed online. Unfortunately, we didn't have phone service while in the restaurant. I then mentioned that the sushi menu was a printed piece of paper. I suggested they mark the prices on the menu and write the correct ones next to them, or print a few updated copies, until the new menus were ready. You can't simply dismiss the issue by saying the menu is incorrect. I felt sorry for the waitstaff when customers realize they were charged 15 to 20% more than they expected."

"My friend has a serious gluten allergy. She’s not doing it to be trendy she will actually get sick for several days. She was very explicit about this with the waitress and they brought us a gluten free menu. Great! She ordered the Khao soy and when they brought it out it had crunchy noddles on the top as it usually does. We didn’t think much of it because, again, she had been very explicit and ordered off the gluten free menu. She had even double checked when the food was delivered to make 100% sure it was gluten free. After she had taken several bites they came over and admitted that the crunchy noddles were fried and not gluten free. We were furious. She’s very careful and this hasn’t happened in 10 years. They were very apologetic and offered us a free meal. So at least they tried to make up for it but it was still a huge mess up and my friend will be very sick for days now."
