Cafe Frauenhuber - Étlap

I went here with my family for lunch. It was not busy but we were treated as if we were an annoyance to the staff. The food was decent. Upon paying, the waiter decided to add an additional amount to the tip that I did not authorize. I did not find out about this until later on when I checked my credit card statement. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone given their dishonesty.

We ate here for lunch one day, and it is a bit pricey for lunch. I had the Original Wiener schnitzel (pork) with the traditional side of boiled parsley coated potatoes. The dish actually comes with two schnitzels. The breading on the schnitzel was the picture perfect golden brown color. The meat itself was a bit dry and devoid of much flavor. There was a cranberry sauce that added a nice flavor to the pork. The potatoes were perfect. My wife had the chicken schnitzel, and it had a lot more flavor and was somewhat juicy. Their desserts looked awesome, but, unfortunately, we were too full to partake in any dessert. Service was excellent, and the restaurant has a sophisticated, yet very comfort...

I came here solely for the purpose of wanting to sit in the same cafe where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart once played. The experience was just fine for that, especially considering I came here in the mid afternoon when there were hardly any other people there. It was quiet and relaxing. While there were a few vegetarian items on the menu, there was almost nothing vegan for me to eat here (though, that's not really their fault being a more or less traditional Viennese cafe), so I just got their homemade raspberry lemonade (which was delicious), and a plate of French fries (even though it sort of pained me to do so).
