"my son and I had no reservations for dinner at our last night in distorted so decided to see if we could come to this restaurant, just a few doors down from our hotel. Although it seemed to be full, the hostess said they could. us at the bar, which was really good because there was a commanding look at the operation of the restaurant. the service was excellent, friendly and helpful. although we haven't seen a cab sav on the weinlist, the host told the server that she had a bottle downstairs. it was perfect. my son had the brainsteak and I had calf. both meals were perfect, delicious tasting. to our surprise this meal was only the first dish. Great experience , great food and very kind staff/owner- in the center of Zermatt! The interior is a chalet like, great service at table) Food was amazing! Quality and quantity! The staff was extremely kind and helpful ! We will come back !

We went skiing in Zermatt and ended up going here twice. It was the best steak I have ever eaten… and the patron who has been there for 38 years is wonderful so attentive and gave us his own made wine as we had...to wait for a table. His ability to chat with customers, organise his staff and also cook perfect steaks without a timer on is quite outstanding! Although pricey everywhere is there) it was our favourite restaurant of the trip. Plus such a fun atmosphere….. would highly recommend !
