"This is by FAR, my personal favorite in DT Norfolk. It doesn't hurt that I cam walk here from home. The food is very good, desserts EXCEPTIONAL!! If happen upon this place and ANY KIND of cake is available, ORDER IT! You will not be dissapointed. This place fills up quickly, so I'm there only on weekedays. Besides, I like the weekday bartender better than the one in the weekends. Tapas concept in general is a rip-off, but all things considered, this place is awesome!!! Oh! Only place that has Crispin on tap in the area!!"

yummy snack in the empire. I do not enjoy the annoyed thunfish, but that was the only contempt of the meal. the prosciutto wrapped spade is great. Cheese plate was wonderful. seaweed salat is always a good bet. great scotch selection also! highly recommended!

Delicious. On Mar. 26 we enjoyed an amazing dinner of various dishes that were executed with skill and deftness. Each small dish was executed well and the components created a symphony of flavors. Try the spicy sugar snap peas which start with some heat but mellow at just he right time. We have been to fine dining restaurants around the country and confidently put Empire against any.

"Cannot say enough about Dylan and Dana and this Norfolk treasure. They catered our daughter 's wedding a year ago and people still tell us it was by far the best 'wedding food ' they have ever had. A year later, we just went to have lunch--Beef Brisket and the killer fries with the garlic aioli--because even just thinking about the food made us almost literally drool. The service is just as hospitable, welcoming and exemplary as the service they provided a year ago at the wedding. You will LOVE your food AND relational experience at Pendulum."

"We had a reservation for two and were seating in the hall right by the bathroom. There were other tables available in the dining room. Not sure why we were put in that location. You can imagine the traffic by our table; not to mention, having to eat by the bathroom. We both ordered the Reuben sandwich. The bread was over toasted; it was very dry and burnt in spots. When you took a bite, it was very crunchy. The dressing was placed on less than 1/2 of one slice of bread. The worst Reuben I've ever had. The waitress only came to us four times in the hour we were there. We have been there in the past; a few years ago and it was good. We wondered why it wasn't busy on a Saturday night. We will definitely not go back."

"Made a reservation. Waited 20 minutes before someone came over to take our drink and food order. Once drink and food order was taken, waited another 20 minutes and still didn’t receive a simple drink order of soda and water. Left after a total of 40 minutes of waiting without a drinks or food. Highly understaffed and waiters/waitresses that did see us waiting patiently cared more about tending to the customers that had already ordered food"

"Our dinner was quite nice at the steak house. And true enough, we ordered steak. They had an amazing collection of wines that pair quite well with the steaks. We ordered the shrimp appetizer, and they were kind enough to have 4 on the plate instead of 3 pieces. I guess my only grouse, had I to find one, they didn't leave a bread basket on the table and I had to keep asking for it, but the bread was just amazing! Wow! Parking: There is a valet service, and a few blocks south is a parking garage"

"This is an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant. They have plenty of cooked food apart of the same menu, too, without increasing the price. Drinks do cost extra, though, and gratuity is charged to groups of 6 or more people.Lunch is $15.99 a person, and dinner is $22.99 a person. It's very affordable considering what you're getting. Food is great quality despite being an all-you-can-eat with tons of choices.Parking is not great. They do not have a parking lot for their business, and you will have to park on the sides streets. Carpooling or Ubering is recommended.They do work with Uber eats. You can get food delivered, but it is individually priced. Getting it delivered is more expensive than coming in to eat.Vegetarian options: They have vegi only rolls, appetizers, and entrees apart of the all-you-can-eat here."
