"The service at this restaurant is top-notch and the food is delicious and served quickly. The host is extremely friendly and professional, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The lasagna was excellent. I am grateful for them finding my glasses that I left on the table and bringing them to me before I left for the ferry. My experience in Lofoten would have been much more challenging without them!"

"I highly recommend visiting this restaurant for a taste of local cuisine. During my trip to Bodø for a conference, it came highly recommended. The venue is quite spacious, featuring both a sit-down area and a more casual bar section, though the menus differ between the two. At our table in the restaurant section, we were delighted by the variety of local dishes available, including whale. I opted for a steak that was served with a delicious purée and vegetables, while my friends chose the whale dish and thoroughly enjoyed it. I even sampled the whale meat, which was surprisingly tender and flavorful, reminiscent of beef. Our server was very knowledgeable and provided helpful explanations of the menu in English. If I ever return to Bodø, I would definitely come back to this restaurant."

"When he came to take our order, his demeanor was rude, lacking any basic courtesies such as a greeting, a smile, or a simple "thank you." The food itself was good, but the service was disappointing. While we were eating, a family with children arrived, and they faced similar treatment. The waiter insisted they sit where he wanted, which was close to the kitchen for his convenience. The family seemed shocked by his aggressive behavior. After finishing our meal, we lingered at our table for an hour waiting for our boat, but the waiter approached us and rudely insisted we leave the table if we weren’t ordering more food or drinks. We would have understood if the restaurant was full, but it was only half-empty. Frustrated, we chose to leave and go elsewhere. I’m giving the restaurant two stars because the food was enjoyable. The truffle burger could use a stronger truffle flavor, and the vanilla milkshake needed a bit more vanilla extract, but the fries were fantastic, and the restroom was notably clean. I truly hope the owner considers making some changes, as I certainly won’t be returning if that waiter is still on staff."

"Cosy restaurant with a variety of food and drinks. I was put off a little by the bad reviews, but I was very pleased with the food here. They didn’t have my first choice of meal or wine, but what I did have was absolutely delicious some of the best food I’ve had in Bodø. The tagliatelle with chicken is so, so good. For dessert I chose the chocolate raspberry mousse ice cream with pistachios. It was heavenly. The staff are also all nice and seem happy to be working there."

"Great even by international standards. Homemade beer was surprisingly hood, the burger also (smoked meat and fresh vegetables). The cheese was the best blue cheese I ever tasted (it won the award of cheese in the world) and chocolate mousse was less special but still good. Bar looks great and waitress was nice, overall a very good dining experience. Prices are good by Norwegian standards, but I wouldn't mind paying these prices outside of Norway for this quality."
