"Every restaurant has good and bad nights, this one is no exception, most likely. Our last meal was unremarkable with regard to the food. I had the duck leg confit, which was dry. It came on some cabbage, which was decent. I had onion soup, very blah. My wife ordered a salad which was probably the best part in f the meal. We came here for lunch before a Wednesday matinee show. Our food was very good and when I looked around the restaurant at what the other diners were eating, it all looked great. Service was very attentive, and our waiter started off by asking us if we had time for a more leisurely lunch or whether we were in a rush so that he would know how to pace the meal. Great pre-theater choice.

I was more impressed with this place on my first visit. Not bad, especially for an efficient, tasty, pre-theater dinner, although I would stick with the main menu. The prix fixe menu is cheap but rather uninspired, served over diner caliber mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. You get what you pay for for. Service is what you insist on. They are probably used to either a tourist or light bite crowd, because we were barely seated when the waiter asked if we would like to order. Once I told him we would enjoy a drink first and then turn our attention to dinner he was responsive and more relaxed with us.
