"Are you looking for a comfortable neighborhood bar when you travel to Carmel By The Sea? Brophys Tavern is it!. Brophy is at the corner of San Carlos and 4. It is just a short walk from the Ocean Avenue, which cut through the middle of downtown and down to the beach. It is located in the same building as the lobby of Hotel Carmel (former Dolphin Inn), where I stayed. If you are not looking for it, you can miss the shield, but the locals definitely know about Brophys Tavern."

Great service! The food was also really extraordinary, environment was pleasant and music was surprisingly great.

We really enjoyed Brophys, the fish tacos were great and not stinking at all. The Philly cheese steak was excellent, and hot sauce lovers should definitely be in stock on Brophy's own Crying Tongue Hot Sauce. Service was phenomenal and many games on all seven TVs. A must for visitors who love pubs and sports!
