"The restaurant with terrace is unique. The service is partly somewhat unhappy, but friendly. The wine list could be a bit better sorted especially in older Rieslingen; there is already a greater variety in the Rheingau. The menu is short, but contains a good range of very well-selected dishes, the composition of which suggests a French manuscript in the kitchen. All we ordered was excellent. The last cut to the fifth star was missing. The yellow-tailed mackerel, the gooseberries, the calfsbries and the Boeuf Bourguignon are highly recommended. The desserts were absolute top. A Sunday afternoon at Schwarzenstein Castle."
