"If there's such thing as a fast food Hawaiian BBQ restaurant, this is it. Each plate is made to order so the food isn't fast, but the quality of the food reflects the fast food experience. For example, the spring rolls are not made onsite. If you eat dining in, the food is served in to go containers.Expect to pay extra for the sauces and some of the prices on the menu items do not match what you are charged for. In my case the menu shows $2.75 for 2 spring rolls, but my receipt shows a charge of $3.00I am not quibbling over price, overall it is obvious that the restaurant's focus is not the experience, nor the quality and presentation but the quantity of food. The food isn’t terrible but the service is abysmal! Rude and not flexible with the orders at all. It takes forever to get your food and it’s expensive. The worst part are the employees. There just aren’t engaged and don’t seem to care about the customersFood: 3/5

Terrible place to go during lunch hours. Ordered well ahead of time online to receive my food before the lunch rush and spent more than an hour waiting for my food. Finally, when I went up to get a refund all of sudden my food was ready. Cashiers get bothered when asked over and over if our food is ready which is understandable but we get just as frustrated as we only have a couple minutes to eat lunch. What’s the point of ordering ahead of time if we’re going to end up waiting the longest.

"North China Restaurant is good overall. I was there for lunch on Wednesday. Parking on the street was quite easy. The dining room had some open tables when I came and I was a little confused because there was no register or hostess station at the front door. I was led by one of the servers to drive through the restaurant and through the back door to a waiting area in the back where I should write my name on the waiting list. There is a small space for sitting and reading the menu. I sat after 5 minutes. There is a lunch special with about a dozen standard plates that contain soup, egg roll, fried ton and fried rice for $14-15 dollars. The table was clean, and a server came immediately and took my drink order. The same server quickly came back with my drink and took my order of lunch with pork rice. A very rich and delicious egg drop soup came immediately with hot tea and my diet coke. The soup was very dense and filled with eggs, tofu and vegetables. Very delicious. Shortly afterwards my lunch special came. Steaming hot, beautiful looking and neat presentation of Chow mien with many bits of pork, generous part of fried rice, and large egg roll and small won ton. I started with the egg roll, and it was surprisingly good with pieces of meat and vegetables. The fried songton was a bit overcooked and contained nothing I could distinguish. I have both fried pieces immersed in a good sweet and acidic sauce they brought. The pork was very good. The noodles were finer in thickness and texture than what I was served in other restaurants, and I liked it. There were good pieces of pork and vegetables throughout the whole portion. Overall, very beautiful taste and texture. The fried rice was light and fluffy. Nicely coloured and pleasant tasting. I had some difficulties in distinguishing vegetables or meat in it and prefer more candy in fried rice. The servers were excellent and very attentive review with me several times and refilling my drinks. The servers were nice and I could see how they smiled at me under their masks. That was a nice place for lunch."
