"Stopped in to Fado before catching a show at the Academy of Music the other night. My group of 3 arrived at 5:45 pm and found plenty of seats available. We started with the happy hour featured appetizers. The Cheese Dip and Wedges and the Mac and Cheese were excellent. The Fish Tacos were very good but lacked crunch. The Fried Goat Cheese was our least favorite appetizer...it seemed to be missing texture, contrasting flavor, something. We shared two sandwiches, the Bacon Cheeseburger Mor and the Fado Reuben. The burger was as good as expected. I found the reuben to be lacking in flavor. The marbled rye and the corned beef were both amazing but the cole slaw and Marie rose sauce had no flavo...

My friend and I visited the Academy of Music to see a show; after that we decided to have an early dinner. So we stopped in this restaurant, the service and the food were good. The expiry date of the mustard container was checked and expired on April 2022. The server carefully checks the delivery of mustard and most of them had expired, but they could find one that was in code. Thanks for checking!

Went with friends for dinner. The cheesesteak eggrolls were thick with grease, the bacin, cheese, tomato grilled sandwich was tasteless and, again, greasy. The wings were good. The shepherds pie was greasy. The service was bad. I ordered my dish, everyone else's came out, mine was not to be seen. Time went by. I watched as other tables who had ordered after me got their food. I had to ask Hannah where my dish was. Same with the beer. Ordered it, and everyone else got their drink while mine was not to be seen. Had to ask about it. Would never recommend this place.

"We were there celebrating two birthdays. Our server Faith was wonderful. She was attentive without being intrusive and knowledgeable about the menu. We were a table of 6 and ordered quite a bit of food, some of which was great and others lackluster. The bao buns were great and the small calamari salad was huge and those who had it said delicious. The spareribs were good as well as the edamame dumplings, although the way those were served made it hard to fully enjoy. Each dumpling should be on a individual type spoon so you can enjoy the soup part as well as the dumpling. The way they were served in one large bowl with only one spoon made it so the soup part is left at the bottom. I did request extra spoons from the expediter but they never came. The worst part of our appetizer course was somehow an item was switched to another in the computer and served to us. It had shellfish in it and that wasn’t known when someone at our table who doesn’t eat shellfish ate it. The sashimi was good but the tuna tartare thing was really bad. The entrees we had were the duck, which I was told was delicious, the miso cod, which was fishy, the whole fish which was tasteless, the lobster fried rice, which was okay but lacking flavor. The best dish was the black pepper beef, it was delicious and elegantly served. We had all the sides and all were quite good especially the eggplant and the wasabi mashed potatoes. It was a nice evening but it felt a little stale for a Starr restaurant."
