"Were to start, hmmm lets start with the free bread and soy oil. Is bread still bread if it's served raw? The worst bread I've ever had and who serves soy oil in an Italian restaurant. That would be the signal not to eat the Italian dishes on the menu. I ordered a fillet med rare, it came out well done. I sent it back they brought me another it was still over cooked. At that point my friend was done eating and I cancelled my order. When I spoke to the manager about this he said the guys in the kitchen aren't really Italian or any other kind of chef cook. He said the head chef is the mailman and the head chef. He also said how can you get a perfect med rare steak from a bunch of guys right of prison and the hood. The server was very nice but seemed a bit nervous about the complaints. We had about a 1.5 hr wait so we sat around and watched as glasses were broken all around and large portly man dressed in a La Vite outfit ran around looking confused. We had the cab to start with and found out it was not our liking, sweet cab is not what we came for. When I asked my server about the sweet cab wine she sent over the manager who politely took the bottle off my check along with all the food, he said thanks and next time go to Alta Via if you want something close to Italian cuisine, they also have a very nice selection of real Italian wine. The food here is the exact same as Bravo, the owner stole the recipes from bravo when he left to open LA VITE. WOW!"
