"I cannot even begin to explain the breathtaking experience of dining at Grouse Mountain Grill. Nothing brings me more joy than eating with my family surrounded by the beautiful mountains. The food has never failed us – it is absolutely delicious and gourmet. I had the mushroom Bolognese and highly enjoyed it. I also recommend the tater tots; for some reason, they really made the day. "

A favorite for many years, however food quality was not what it has been previously. The vibe seemed off in the restaurant as well. Missed the piano player who made the dinner so enjoyable.

"Incredible dinner! Celebrated a friends birthday and all of us were given complementary glasses of champagne and free birthday dessert. The owner came over and spoke to us which made us feel at home. Food was incredible, highly recommend the French onion soup and pesto gnocchi. Will absolutely be back next time we are in the Avon/Vail area."

"When my soup arrived as an appetizer, I found a long hair inside the bowl after a few spoonfuls, so I returned it. I declined the waiter's offer of a replacement dish as I was concerned it might come from the same pot as the original bowl. Instead, I ordered a different, slightly more expensive appetizer. When the bill arrived, I was surprised to see that Mirabelle had charged me for the more expensive substitute appetizers. I expected that they would not charge me, as other restaurants have done in similar situations with their food quality issues (which are very rare for me). Additionally, both my wife and I found our dishes to be too salty (despite regularly enjoying well-cooked food - the fish and lamb were overly salty). I chose not to dispute the charges for the appetizer or the salty food at the restaurant, as I did not want to cause a scene during our anniversary celebration at this very elegant restaurant."
