"I can’t say enough lovely things about the Union restaurant! My Mom, Aunt and I stopped in for lunch last weekend and our expectations were exceeded in every way. The family-run establishment is steeped with historical charm, Barbara the owner and her family were beyond welcoming and even gave us a slice of carrot cake for the road some of the BEST carrot cake I’ve ever had by the way! The bruschetta is also the best I’ve ever had, perfect in both flavor and texture. My aunt and I’s burgers and fries were cooked and seasoned to perfection, and my Mom thoroughly enjoyed her salad with a side of a meatball. Our server was also genuinely kind and very helpful. All in all, this place is a gem and worth the trip to an out of the way little town! "What a find! We passed by this place many times and didn't think to stop by till today! We came on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. Loved the airiness of the place with its big windows. They had quite a good selection of appetizers and mains but we were so hungry we went straight to the main. Our server was attentive and friendly and she recommended the chicken sandwich Nashville style and my BF had the fish tacos. Food came super fast! She was so right about the chicken sandwich. The brioche bun was soft and buttery and the chicken was seasoned well and the hot sauce was not overpowering. My BF liked the fish tacos so much that we are looking forward to trying the fish and chips next. The onion rings were a tad greasy and bland but it was battered to perfection so I didn't mind too much. The side of fries we ordered was huge and thinly cut (my favorite cut). Would love to come back for more food and have beers next time."

"This is located in a converted station. Many trains and maps. Vegan options on the menu were limited, but there might have been more available if we had asked. We had made the house Veggie Burger. Didn't like it very much. The breakfast items looked great, but I don't think they were vegan."

"This was a rather great disappointment after hearing about the great Italian family style dinner of Occidental. We are new residents of Forestville and were constantly impressed by any meal we had out here until these, who are absolutely not living until the hype. At first it is not family style and although this page said Negris was opened that the whole side of the building was closed and the only service was in Joe's Bar, which was just a sterile concrete floor room with a few TVs on the wall. Super loud and not particularly welcoming. It's just super fat bar food with some Italian themes. Food, service and personnel were completely lacking in real quality or complexity. Bringing a piece of butter into a bunch of frozen ingredients does not make it good or Italian. Pizza, shrimp and polnta app, pasta, salads, were all super simple and yet incredibly greasy. Nothing to write home. There is much better food to do in just about every city in Sonoma co. It looks like we missed the fame days here, based on our experience and other recent reviews."
