"the beefsteak tomato appetizer is shockingly expensive for what it is. that was the entire point of a vicious 2 star review i started writing in this box. but as i typed it out i had to reflect that the steak frites were great and the cocktails good as always. it's also clear we'll be back for turkey legs and radishes when the mood strikes, as it has done with some regularity over 12 years. so yeah, maybe lets not be dramatic over one undersized $12 plate of tomato slices..."

Here’s the deal. Place is great, old feel inside, burgers were great…then why the 3 stars? Well, burger is $17 add cheese +2, add bacon +2. Cheese is a tiny speck, and bacon is one small piece…$4 for that?? Hmm. I asked for medium, got we’ll done. It comes with fries, so that’s good, and they were great. But all in all felt like I need to top off with pizza after that.

Burger was amazing and they come with the perfect set of fries. Nice outdoor ambiance and COVID friendly. They have heaters in some tables under the tent. Service was good. Their cocktails were okay and I ended up going with a beer after my first drink. Would definitely come back for the burger! Brussels were good. Mac n cheese was great. Their one dessert was okay. If you like doughy bread-like desserts, then you should get it.

As lovely a bar you could want. Had a great hambuger and fries, deviled eggs and a gin and tonic. Speaking of gin and tonics this one seemed special. A simple drink that can be a disaster if made without care. This only had pleanty of care. Nice tonic water, sparkley and fizzy, a fresh lime and decent ice. If i lived closer i would be here all the time. In any eventif your in Brooklyn Heights, stop in, you'll find it delightful.
