"We arrived for dinner prior to our evening at the Reserve in downtown Neenah (Roaring 20’s Jazz music. Our server AJ was very friendly and took our cocktail order right away. We were seated in a booth with full view of the television mount playing a Mexican variety show (singers, dancers and it seemed like a nice atmosphere. We noticed the lighting was dark—underneath the central ceiling mount was good but on either side of the room the overhead spot lighting was poor. As the dining room became more crowded we noticed there was plenty of wait staff and everyone was friendly. The nachos and salsa (standard fare at a Mexican restaurant were fine but you will be charged $5 for a second helping, which we ordered because the entrees took almost 30 minutes to arrive. The food was delicious, ample portions, and well presented. The “Combinacion Un Poco de Todos” really gave a great sampling of 5 different choices from their menu, and the Chicken fajitas dish was superb with peppers and onions served flaming hot with the chicken and build your own tasty flour tortillas. The 2 biggest gripes: food service seemed slow and cocktails were way overpriced (a rail whiskey and coke was $7, and a Wisconsin Old-Fashioned was $8 . I don’t mind spending bucks on signature cocktails or high end scotch but these drinks were nothing special."
