"On a bike ride, my wife and I stopped for a surprisingly good lunch here. The staff members were professional, welcoming, and efficient. The plentiful dishes we had were maybe a bit much for lunch on a bike ride. My wife had the mixed fish...grill, which apparently was prepared from frozen prawns and fish. She’s generally pretty critical, but she thought this was very well prepared. I had the venison with spätle, which I thought was also quite good. In each case, our dishes were not the very best grilled seafood or venison we’ve ever eaten. However, they were certainly quite good, especially considering the price is very moderate; the best we’ve ever had enjoyed more expensive ingredients....

After our last visit we were keen to return and as we were yet again on our way to Munich we stopped by for lunch. The welcome was friendly and the food was delicious. I had pork in a gorgonzola sauce. I could not eat all my kaiserscharnn and they put it in a container for me to eat on the plane :-)This place also has restaurant reviews under its hotel listing. We will be back again for sure.

"Start of the Garmisch Series 2019! Well, orange tree leaves as in the Peter Fox’s cantata were not on the way to the fishermen’s farmer in the Upper Bavarian Schlehdorf, yet the route from the Walchensee was quite similar – Bavaria has to offer the inclined eye infinitely in this respect. For this, however, the weather should take place halfway, which during our summer freshness in Garmisch Partenkirchen has also done for the most part, thanks to the Bavarian weather god, this day should also begin with sunshine. Good morning, Garmisch. Now we have been in our lovely holiday home for the fourth year in a row and there are still countless worthwhile sights in and around GAP that we have missed so far. So also the Walchensee, a deep, clear mountain lake with turquoise blue water, which, due to its treacherous underwater flows annually, also demands victims among well-trained divers, as we learned on site. Tückische Unterwasserströmen tang the writers of these lines rather little, because “flat stones diche over the water” and “stand up paddler laughing in water” are, of course, rather little life-threatening, lake near leisure activities. After a blue and white carded postcard approach from Garmisch via Wallgau to the west bank of the lake, Bavarian business viability was once again revealed. Since parking on the bank road itself is impossible and the reconstruction of a small Viking village is also nearby (actually the remains of the nearby "Wiki" film by Bully Herbig, the owner of the opposite field has discovered the proven business model "Parking Room for Payment". Vikingerdorf For a flat-rate four Euros it was possible to dispose of his vehicle there, my played out question at the Kassenhhäuser Vorsteher, whether the overnight stay with breakfast was already included, resisted expecting a lot of humor, I reaped a loud laugh and an acknowledged “Na, des ned, but oan coffee koanst ham ifs wuist!”. At the lake itself it should cover for a short time, the cloud fields quickly dissolved again and it remained dry to keep time and enjoy a little rest, lake view and dramatically shy standup paddler. View of the Walchensee Since from rest and sea view alone no one gets fed up after some time clearly my stomach and we made ourselves on the initially mentioned, serpentine-protected trip to Schlehdorf, the accompanying views from above on the lake are so postcard-fit that it almost seems cheesy. The Landgasthaus Fischerwirt am Kochelsee was a recommendation from Obachts Schatzl, who, as an ADAC Motorcycle Tourguide, knows the entire area in and out, including reliable culinary addresses. “Reliable, good Bavarian food also away from the fish, a traditional place with heart blood, very popular among tourists but also the natives” said the picture, which was characterized by Mr. Obacht’s signs in advance by the “Fischerwirt”. The place is actually popular with motorcyclists, on our arrival were various machines right in front of the house and on the road, we parked a few meters further on a meadow, this time even one without a cashier. It had around 24 degrees this day, we found a nice place on the terrace under one of the shade-giving brewery parasols on the photo in the front left area behind the wall with the Fischerwirt lettering. From the outset, the service made a well-established, high-professional impression, all walked in costume, fluttering on the road and not a touch of stressful working, well-tempered and friendly, we were discovered and a well-kept lady in the Dirndl gave us a warm welcome, especially in the area of Dessert quite extensive maps. After the strenuous sea exploration, the wounded body first demanded liquid, an alcohol-free, license-friendly yeast wheat (4,00€ for me and a rhubarb choir (3,60€ for Madame were delivered promptly best cooled and then our order was received. At the side table, four local boys were to stop the 20th with a small “Jungherren lap” and let revue last night. And there was something that I find very sympathetic about this landmark, lived tradition, lived identification with its homeland and its regional peculiarities, whether linguistically or culinary. The four voices deep dialect, with pleasure in pancake soup, crust roast and co., which gave me as a tourist not for the first time the good feeling that this kitchen is not only offered to serve clichés because the tourists expect it so since 1850. Such a thing is actually inconceivable in NRW, except for remote areas of the Sauerland and not less remote Cologne veedeln, dialects are almost disappeared in the generation U20 and an identity-giving “home kitchen” is often only present in trace elements, whether in households or in gastronomy. Here the tribal pizzeria opened in 1978 often still has the largest home dimension for many guests. In addition, the appetizer just served at this moment brought me very welcome from the concept. Pancake soup – 4,60€ pancake soup In Bavaria I always become a hardcore soup cake. I love a well-made Bajuwarian cattle broth over everything, unfortunately the effort is too high for many and you can access Convenience aids. But if one was lucky to have tasted a formidable “Benchmark Brühe” in very good traditional houses, one is spoiled for his life, soups, which once passed through as “naja, nix special but ok” are now covered with contempt and bag soups. This starts with the look as soon as I can see the floor of the terrine I'm always trying to tell the service that I didn't order a camel tea and you could bring my soup. Smell and appearance of the Fischerwirt variant satisfied me, some fresh cut liquor brought some color into play, the smell strong spicy and appealing. A first spoon made joy, sufficiently salty and rich in the foundation, an honest soup with a good fond, perfectly clarified. The pancake strips fluffy and tasty in the ideal thickness to be able to share them with the spoon properly on the edge of the terrine. She did not reach a good, though not very good representative of her kind, the intensity and brilliance of the above-mentioned “Benchmark specimens”, but in the middle field of the second Bundesliga, one also understands itself in football matches, so no reason to complain. Main dishes onion roast roast roasts – 19,80€ White sausages with Brezn – 6,60€ My medium rare ordered onion roast roast roast roasts with jus and emphasizes homemade roasted onions and butter spets was served on request with Pommes frites, pasta as a meat supplement I actually like almost exclusively for things like Piccata Milanese or a Tagliata with spaghetti AOP. The scent of the dish did not make less appetite like the optics, the onions looked fantastic and the meat had a nice tan – nothing is worse than pale steaks I find. In addition, one with its mild yoghurt dressing and typical ingredients was more tastefully inconspicuous, but with its remarkable freshness all the re-equivocating supplemental salad, which was also very welcome in view of the not yet low-fat court. A heartened middle section revealed an optimally hit cooking point, delicate structure and a (as it turned out not only at this point longening-free texture. The meat from regional origin knew to convince, I cut it in thin tranches, peffered coarsely from the mill and pulled a slice after the other through the jus, gave up another onion, enjoyed and did not have to cut off a touch, so well pared was my steak. I would have liked the jus a little more than the soup, but with his subtle caraway note he was a good tunk companion for meat and the golden yellow, fragrant satin. I looked at Madame's bold selection, white sausage after 12 o'clock in Upper Bavaria, a No Go! It's only good that no people who were killed with torches and forks wanted to go to Lynch Justice! This role then promptly took over Mr. Obacht! by WhatsApp as a self-appointed last advocate of authentic Bavarian lifestyle. My constant accompaniment loves white sausages and was very happy with her little snack served in the lion's terrarium. White sausage Dessert apple strudel with vanilla sauce – 5,60€ apple strudel with vanilla sauce The offers of a normal dessert card usually leave me quite cold, I am more likely to be the case for high-quality, like-opened raw milk treats from France. In the Alpine area, this is another story, I love Kaiserschmarrn and flour meals in general and the Germknödel on the huts in the ski holidays of my childhood remain unforged. The view of a homemade apple strudel with a beautiful vanilla sauce allowed me to completely ignore the fill level of the stomach, I ordered in front of leather pants Ludwig, the colleague of Dirndl Doris: “Wohlan, strange talking man with a shrill leg dress, let him serve me finest baked goods, filled with magnificent fruit from the fruit tree on velvety sauce of best vanilla!” “Where does the Lord mean?” “Ah brings me oan apple strudl bite?” “Of course, come immediately!” The strudel really smelled very appealing, unfortunately, the dessert then became the small lowlight of the Bavarian menu. Tastefully, there was not much to put out on the tasty fruity filling, not too sweet, the apple with pleasant acid, great. Only the consistency of the dough was here the critical point, pappy and firm it came therefore and not airy and loose, almost more cakes than strudel in the mouth feeling. The biggest weak point, however, is the sauce. I had visually my concerns, pale and without a sign of Vanillemark. This should continue on the tongue: pale, flat and only little vanillig, it tasted a little like melted cream ice. Nevertheless, I do not believe in convenience, finished vanilla sauces have a penetrant artificial vanilla note and, due to the emulsifiers and co., also a different consistency than this one served here, nevertheless disappointing in the result. At the latest, my denomination size was in serious danger, easily dreamed I played with the decoration mint leaf and felt a little like my great model from the Monty Python universe, the one and only Mr. Creosote: My feeling after the food Comedy was a Berliner caravan driver just before the payment, after he has energized the attendees more than five minutes with running engine (and a continuously accumulating ventilation of the same directly in front of the terrace, he wanted to turn particularly dynamically onto the main road. Only stupid that a Hymer camper is not a smart and, thanks to the height of the vehicle, also demand everyday traffic signs for attention. The sight of how he with sunglasses and ultra cool “I am the King of the Landstraße her dwarfs” bounced his face expression and with ghunting with the structure violently along the driveway eighth shield and it was a picture for the gods. He was obviously too embarrassed, a Berlin paint shop will surely be happy about work soon. I paid with the EC card and was kindly asked to do this at the counter, the reach in the beer garden is problematic. Not at least kindly the adoption, deeply relaxed, we trotted to the vehicle and made us on the way back to Garmisch. Conclusion Here just fits a lot and criticism I can easily see in the personal classification of soup and jus, noticeably in dessert. Therefore in total still very good four stars for the kitchen and thus a recommendation. The service at 4.5 stars, friendly, present, professional, even if you notice that there is a lot of tourism here. The ambience ok, unfortunately no lake view from the terrace as hoped for, 3.5 stars for pleasant, clean cosiness on the road. Cleanliness, even in the toilets, gave no reason to complain, 5 stars. I see price performance compared to similar houses in the region at 4 stars, and thus as good. I would return here at any time if a visit to the Walchensee were to come, for example, a trip from Munich would certainly not be worth the place, just solid upper host house middle class."
