"We were welcomed warmly (with happy birthdays to my husband) and brought to a great table that seemed extra special for our special occasion. Our waiter was friendly, very helpful with wine suggestion and tasting. The food was overall beautiful and delicious. Standouts were the grilled octopus and fried eggplant. Both fantastic. The french fries--billed as the best in NYC by our waiter--were just odd. We sent them back once but the second try made them hotter, but never crisp. They had a strange spongey texture that we figured was due to the sous vide process we were told they underwent before frying."
