"This place Sugar House) had a better taste than that in Murray, although they were the same chain or chefs might have a bad day. The atmosphere was warm welcoming and modern design, very different from that in Murray, brighter more rooms. The music was noisy to blow my ear, should have traditional Japanese music instead of American Pop music, I was here to enjoy my food, not eat rush and go. The service was impeccable, the server fell out of food and never came once again to check our refill, but as long as the foods were good, then no complaints. The Takoyaki deep fried octopus balls) was so delicious, crispy outside steamy hot inside up with Mayo, the thin Bonito flakes melt in my mouth....

Absolutely delicious and worth the visit! Yummy! I have the JINYA Tonkotsu original and every bite was heavenly. At first glance, the pig slices look very small and disappointing. But they were packed with so much taste, every bite was edible and the soup was so filling it was a lot to eat. Our server Matt was really nice and made the experience extra special. We also have a pig **** that is absolutely worth every penny.

Most jinya locations are pretty consistent on flavor and quality. This one did not disappoint. The food was all fresh and flavorful. It did take a bit longer than other locations we have been to to get our food. The server was friendly and everything seemed clean. The only thing that was not great was the price. They are a bit higher than most other ramen places we have been to throughout the country. We spent roughly about $55 for 2 adult ramens, 1 kids meal, 2 pork buns, and we all drank water.

Tested vegan ramen in this place and it was not until the sign. The impossible meat in the vegan ramen was sweet and it has spoiled the whole taste. The broth is decent, but the noodles were so thick that they add every taste to the ram. Too many vegetables have spoiled the texture. This review is only intended for vegan/vegetarian ramens. I hope that the chicken frames and spicy toncotsu wheels would be good, but if you are a vegetarian looking for vegan ramen, then this is not the place to visit. Taste- 2.5/5 Ambience-3.5/5

"I speak as a tourist. I was delighted this place has dedicated, on-the-menu options – as it is apparently open late, it would seem to be worth keeping in mind for that reason. This, and the empanada's great value, lead me to give it three stars. That said, there were some oddities. I got the vegan arepa and the vegan empanada. They were both filled with *exactly the same ingredients* and the empanada was bigger than the arepa – but the arepa costs more than 2x as much. Given these circumstances, and the fact that I liked the empanada more, I can see the empanada being a great deal for a vegan looking late night or for a bit of variety. Both of them were on the bland side, however, and far from imaginative. I did enjoy the plantains in both; otherwise, it was mainly black beans and some avocado. (From the menu, it appears that their several vegan items seem mainly to be rearranging these same ingredients. The small amount of chimichurri I was given added some flavor and was ok, but did not knock my socks off. None of it was bad, and I do think they made at least the arepa fresh with decent ingredients, but there just wasn't much flavor. Finally, they use big styrofoam packaging for to-go, which is actually enough to mean I would avoid eating here again. (Not being a local, I don't know how common this is, but I know it's not even nominally recyclable in SLC and that not all places do it. Updated from previous review on 2021-09-05"
