"My family and I discovered the Wine Haus a few weeks ago when we went to Flatonia, TX, to visit the Harry Sider Sculpture Museum. The Sculpture Museum was already closed, but whie driving around Flatonia, we came upon the Wine Haus Bar and Restaurant which is located at 110 N. Main Street in what is the historic Aston Building. On that first visit, we all enjoyed several glasses of wine since we had already eaten dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tasting, so we decided to return to sample the Wine Haus Brunch Menu the following Sunday morning. On that visit, we ate the Ham Swiss Omelette with Hash Browns, the Seafood Cobb Salad, and the Classic, which is 3 Eggs prepared any way with Bacon, Hash Browns, and Toast. All our orders were delicious and perfectly cooked. In fact, we so enjoyed our Sunday Brunch fare that we decided to return to the Wine Haus the next weekend on a Saturday evening to sample the Dinner Menu. On that Saturday, we were able to indulge in several different kinds of of wine along with a generous plate of wonderfully tasty Crispy Brussels Sprouts. This dish is a unique combination of pan grilled brussels sprouts, olives, glazed pecans, and a piquant sweet chile sauce that added a hint of heat. We agreed that the Crispy Brussel Sprouts appetizer combined perfectly with our wine choice. For our main courses, we dug into Crispy Panko Shrimp, Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, Seafood Cobb Salad, Wagyu Rib Eye, and Chicken Fried Steak. While we savored our superb food, the welcoming atmosphere of the historic building and the attentive service lent a special camaraderie to our meal. We highly recommend a visit to the Wine Haus in Flatonia, TX, where you will surely delight in savory Classic American Cuisine of high quality. Flatonia is lucky to have a restaurant and bar like the Wine Haus. Service: Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
