However, I must admit that the dry brisket left something to be desired in terms of tenderness and flavor. Despite this minor setback, the overall experience at Julian Beer Co was delightful. For a brewery, the food is excellent. We had the brisket sandwich and the Mountain Fire Pizza. The brisket sandwich was great and so was the pizza. We ordered the pizza well done, but it still could’ve been cooked a little longer. Nevertheless, flavors were very good. Also, the pizza is huge. It can easily feed 4 people, or 3 hungry people.It’s also great that this place has outdoor seating for people with dogs and that it is open later than most places in Julian.

I absolutely love barbecue so it was a must that we stopped here. The line was a bit long but it moved quickly which was nice. They have plenty of outdoor seating so you can enjoy your food and people watch at the same time. I ordered the pork belly and it was phenomenal. The pork was smoky and felling off the bone! You can tell it was cooked really well and didn't need any sauce. The price was about what you expect to pay for good barbecue and that is exactly what we got.
