"Nostalgic small café in the forest. I like the idea behind this place. Natural, organic, “REAL FOOD” from scratch. It is a GREAT target, but food must also taste well. I'm always a matcha girl, but I didn't like the matcha here. It tasted more water instead of creamy. And it had a spicy taste, like a spicy chai, but with much more kick. I personally don't think the flavors go well together, but then again I like my matcha on the sweet side, sometimes with a splash of coconut. I enjoy the Mexican chocolate chai, it tasted, not far from how I had imagined it, and I enjoyed the kick that it had nice together since the note pairs but wished it had a little more cream. The quiche was pretty good, my kids enjoyed it, but I wasn't a fan of crust that was the part I was most happy as it was gluten-free. It was extremely dry and even hard to cut. I think it was made with corn flour. Personally, I would go with a fluffy acid cream “pee” crust. There are many ways to make it, but I do mine with an all-purpose gluten-free flour, baking powder, salt, butter, acid cream, etc. It would pair with this quiche tastefully. The eggs were the perfect texture. It said it came with meat, but the generous 'snell' I only have a few very small pieces. But as I know, not every disc will be the same, so maybe I just ended up with a missing disc. I would have enjoyed more meat than in the pictures. It also came with gluten-free bread. They were also very generous with the bread slices, which were mostly end pieces, but nevertheless good. However, since the Gf-Brot is a denser, dry bread, I should have warmed up a little more because they were hard like cardboard REALLY, but after they had taken home, they warmed up and added some butter, they were pleasant. I also ordered a sandwich that doesn't look like that on Facebook. I don't know if I can get it again. As bread I had to take it apart and heat the bread with meat, so it was not so dry. I was particularly pleased with the balsamic sauce, but it was not quite enough for dry gluten-free bread and as you can see on the photos, it was only on one side of the sandwich that left the other side bland. So I had to take it home and add some taste and more sauce I had finished to whistle. Originally my favorite thing was the carrot ginger soup. It should be special, but at $10.50, without taxes and tips, it wasn't even worth a quarter of it. I took it home and gave some taste. I started with a pink Himalayan salt, a little cinnamon, cardamom might have been good, but I decided against it. I also wanted to make it a little sweet and creamy, so I had a homemade sweet cream I had, and it changed the whole taste of soup. My children even fought for it! I took a photo of it, after some stirring in the cream and it even looks tastier. It was 10 out of 10 after some tweaking. I can say with confidence that the ingredients they were used were in any case real/natural and at the end made it for a delicious soup. You have a really wide choice of options, not only drinks, but also food. Even beer and wine. Your pizzas I saw online look really good. I don't drink coffee, but my friend said she was good. They also had a decent selection of candy. I'm not a big fan of sugary foods, but thought when I was on the way, it would be nice to get a few gf treats. It's delicious. My favorite was their fudge/chocolate bars, definitely a guilty pleasure and probably the cream of the harvest for chocolate fanatics. I suggest trying a dessert and maybe some for the road. I want to be clear, I recommend trying this cafe, but I believe constructive criticism from customers who go on this way can only help grow and make bigger. I would like to try again, down the street and even my rating from 4 stars to 5."

"Lunch after a tour in Talkeetna. The large outdoor terrace looked great to have an outdoor lunch and enjoy their popular drinks. The terrace had waited about 15 minutes, but there were open seating in the interior. I wanted to eat on the terrace, so I decided for the short waiting period. Our server was slowly over to take the first drinks and appetizer orders. She didn't come by often during the meal and forgot to one of the commands. It must have had a free day because the rest of the servers looked very friendly and efficient. Advertise her heather Mojito, as recommended by several people when he heard we came to Talkeetna. This was a great recommendation because it had a big blueberry taste that was balanced with the alcohol. Also, two of her designs ordered beers that were just as good. For food, ordered the nachos, Brisket Sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, Caesar salad and garden bowl salad. After about 15 minutes, food came out. I wasn't so impressed with the food, but I wasn't disappointed as it was a Braupub. The sandwiches tasted ok, but the coating was very bland and did not look attractive. The salads and nachos tasted okay. The blueberry cheesecake tasted pretty good. Overall, I would recommend coming here for drinks and the ambience. The food was something to have with the drinks, so my expectations were not too high. I didn't have the best service, but the rest of the waiters seemed to do a great job."
