"I haven 't visited this location since it was Crust prior to that restaurant closing amidst the Covid 19 pandemic. I 'd seen Mio Russo and Coffee Apothecary spring up in it 's place since moving back to the Quad Cities and amidst some last minute holiday shopping, decided to stop in to try Mio Russo.The interior is strikingly different from the Crust that I remember. The low lighting and muted browns and beiges have been replaced with sharper red and while coloring throughout, with black chairs, bar, and seating across the space. Yikes, where to start? Came in for the first time and not one person said hello or greeted us. A girl with curly reddish hair just barked at us saying “sit wherever”. Um ok, thanks. Threw menus down at the table without saying anything else, then our waiter comes over (he was nice at least) and explains that they don’t have any pizza sauce at the moment so we either wait 30 mins extra or get something without pizza sauce. Running out of pizza sauce! Not sure where the replacement sauce was coming from in 30 mins, Hy Vee I guess?
