"This place has potential, however, the manager/owner was very disrespectful and dismissive when asking a simple question about garlic sauce that tastes more like vinegar than garlic. My food was dry but had taste and would have been excellent with garlic sauce not vinegar sauce. Shawarma does NOT pair well with vinegar. My husband and kids food was good and the cheese sticks were good. Because of the staff we will. It be going back out bill was 100 after tip etc and not worth it at all!"

"Everything was great except kind of in a ghetto area , we caught some guy trying to break into our car one block away and then we tried to park in another parking lot next door for many businesses and a Middle Eastern guy came out screaming and yelling that he was going to have all of us towed away it started off pretty bad. Several other cars that were there drove off very upset there were no signs that he could tell anybody I asked him if he owned the property and he said yes I could tell he was lying though but it just wasn't worth the hassle"

"Order this by grubhub and it was still fresh when we got it ~40 minutes after the order. My mixed tempura was still super crispy, not so tender. My Tempura California role was delicious - I usually don't like jalapeños, but I ate the whole part. And the baked Californian role is also very good. The prices are reasonable and everything my family had (man, me and our 9 years old) was delicious. Definitely my favorite sushi place in La Mesa!"

"This is the best sub sandwich I’ve had. They are HUGE! They are not the normal “footlongs” they are not that long BUT they are 2-3 times WIDER than the normal “footlong”. The bread was amazing, the whole sandwich was amazing. My only minor complaint is that there was a bit of a wait, 10-15 minuets, for them to make the sandwich. I am not sure if they were really busy while I was there or this is a normal wait time, BUT the sandwich was worth the wait!"
