"White Yak is a wonderful restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious, the staff members are so pleasant, and their prices are incredibly fair for the portions. It was our first time here so we ordered a bit of everything, and there was not a bad dish amongst them. We started with the traditional fried dumplings (beef momo) that came with a delicious dipping sauce. For main dishes, we had the shatrak, chili chicken, crispy pork ribs, phaktsee, and the chicken thenthuk. Wow. Everything was delicious, but the crispy ribs were next level. Great stuff. Check them out, you will be happy you did."

"Food was very delicious and always enjoy an Italian BYOB. Appetizers were great, bread with oils very good, and pasta dishes were pretty good. However, the ratings are reduced as parts are very small (this is my biggest complaint) and foods take very long to get on the table. It is a small place that is beautiful, but gets very sounds with nothing to absorb the sound. The staff was kind and did a nice job."

"I do want to say that the food was amazing, which is the only reason I'm giving this place two stars. That is, when I actually got food or service. My wife and I went here on a Friday night right at 7, and the place was absolutely jammed. We had the scallion pancakes, pork belly small plate, the dan dan noodles with minced pork for appetizers, which were delicious. However, I could tell the wheels were coming off quickly because after putting in our drink orders and ordering our appetizers, our waiter didn't come back for 15 minutes. After finishing our appetizers, we finally got our drinks but still hadn't put in our main entree orders, which was frustrating because even though we were right next to the kitchen, it felt like our waiter was on another planet. It wasn't our waiter's fault, the place was so extremely poorly staffed that he was overwhelmed trying to be everywhere at once. After multiple attempts, we finally were able to flag down our waiter and put in our main entree orders and our next round of drinks. The situation did not improve, as dinner took forever to come out and again our drinks weren't prepared in a timely fashion. We finally got the first dinner entree and our next round of drinks, but of course our drink order was wrong and we had to wait 10 more minutes to get replacements. Meanwhile, I'm waiting for the dry pepper chicken and I had to ask our waiter no less than three times to find out what happened after a half hour of waiting. Thank goodness the restaurant at least comped the dry pepper chicken for our inconvenience, and the apology from the manager (who was running around the whole night trying to make up for the staff shortage) was definitely sincere, but I was definitely let down by the experience. Until this place staffs up appropriately, I would definitely advise not coming here on a Friday or Saturday night during prime hours. I'll very likely come back at some point, but I feel this place has a lot of growing pains in the near future."

"I have to say the food and the service were excellent. It 's too bad that we were seated in an anti room off the second floor main dining room, two feet from the elevator. At least 4 or 5 parties came on and off that elevator which was a complete distraction and disturbance. Funny the maitre d came around to ask how things were and he said, romantic, Huh? Farthest thing from it. I must have a stamp on my forehead that says, seat me at the worst table in the restaurant, because it keeps happening to me. It truly ruined my entire experience, and it didn 't matter how good the food or service were. All of the energy and liveliness were happening in the first and second floor Main Dining rooms and the bar, not in a small room sequestered up a few steps and behind glass, meant for private parties with a handful of tables in there. The acoustics were awful and there was a loud table of young girls sitting in there, so it was deafening , not to mention depressing. Not the dining experience I was hoping for with that price tag."

"Such a cozy, welcoming place. Interesting and fast service. After a series of disappointing Teriyaki dishes at other restaurants, this phenomenal salmon teriyaki broke the Streak! It was accompanied by five different remarkably fresh vegetables, and especially delicious rice. Also pictured is the best Katsu we had in the area. Not to mention the soup... Often overlooked, but an additional bright spot on a meal when it is done and this was! My dinner companion and I agreed that they will let their quality ingredients shine through the board in the way Japanese cuisine is so well suited. And Icing on the cake, they pitched my milk and egg allergies like champs. Exceptional experience, will be back very soon! Lunch specialities are simply too tempting."
