"I also noticed that the online menu differed from what was offered at the restaurant. In the front area, guests can choose from either the cafe menu or the full formal menu. I decided on the ceviche-style starter and the “Bacon Lettuce Tomato” dish for my main course. The starter was tasty but came on a bed of a creamy substance that felt unnecessary, as the fish was delightful on its own. The Bacon Lettuce Tomato was quite innovative – it featured a warm stuffed lettuce leaf, a slice of toast with a rich tomato spread, and a generous piece of braised bacon, which was really enjoyable. For dessert, I had the chocolate Napoleon. It was nice, but not quite as impressive as the one at Grapese...

One of my absolute favorites in DC! The service is fantastic, and the menu offers a variety of intriguing options. I would give Palena a perfect rating if it weren't for their fish dishes, which always seem to disappoint me—they're good but nothing exceptional. However, I have been consistently impressed with all the other dishes. And the desserts? They're simply divine!

Palena, a wonderful blend of Italian and French cuisine, is my favorite restaurant in DC right now. The back room is usually reserved two weeks ahead of time, but you can still find seating in the café area where you can choose from either the café menu or any course from the Prix Fixe menu. The roast chicken is incredible; it takes 45 minutes to prepare and is the juiciest, most flavorful chicken I’ve ever tasted. Don't miss the fantastic "fries," which are a selection of unique fry-like dishes, including fried lemon!

"incredibly disappointed! first we have this restaurant for a birthday dinner on other options based on their menu, but once we were there, the menu was not what they have on their website. specific entrees that drag us to aragosta were not at all in the menu. I know the website state menu items can change, they will react with the nationwide lack of products it is difficult to get deliveries, but seriously if their printed menus are up to date their online menu should also be because guess what? there is no printing involved! the height of the wee that was available, again, weeping on the online menu were not on the printed weeping list, mediocre was best still the brandup was extreme. Thirdly, the time we waited for our food was unacceptable and when it arrived, it was cooked cold. the cabernet sauce with the chateabriand tasted no different than a glass shop bought brown engraving the duck, ordered medium rare, but served almost medium-heavy cold. the filet mignon was boiled on request, but hardly warm the Bernaise sauce tasted just like the packed powder mixture that it received in food business. nothing special or unique. next missing the service. our server apologised for the time it needed to get our wein later our meal times, and said that one of their server had to leave unexpectedly due to disease, but there were other support so that our water should have been refilled several times, but we had to ask for fillings they would help supply food before it became cold. all dinge considered the price we paid over $200 was not worth what we have the over 4 star rating is unnoticed. because we were not the only two in our party, we decided not to express our disappointment complaint at that time."
