"Where to begin. The Staff: Friendly, knowledgeable, professional, quick. The Location: I was there for business, and it was a 5-minute walk to my appointment; zero complaints. The Room: I was given an upgraded room (Gold for Life) that was decent in size with a nice balcony.I rated the rooms a bit lower because my shower door didn 't keep water in the shower and flooded the bathroom floor. Placement of the toilet made it a tight squeeze for this middle linebacker sized guy. The balcony was nice but faced a busy street so I didn 't use it. Bed was comfy, chairs were nice, side tables had charging plugs, and the room was laid out well.My biggest complaint was the 1800 steps it took to get to my...

I had looked up places on Open Table for brunch, and this place popped up, so I made a reservation for 11:15am....typical time for brunch, right? Guess what--they don't serve brunch, and they stopped serving breakfast at 10:00am. Very disappointing! We were set for Eggs Benedict or something similar, and instead had salads and a sandwich. Not brunch fare. Food was good, service was good, except that had to go somewhere else to get our drinks (mimosa and wine), so a little delay in getting those. Lots of people outside at the pool, the restaurant was pretty empty, so not sure why?

All of the staff I encountered was very kind and professional. I had 2 rooms and requested adjoining rooms, and due to unforseen events, they were unable to complete this request, but they did put me nearby in an upgraded beautiful room. The staff really took my breath away with this kind gesture on this special trip. I can not thank them enough. My check-in agent was amazing. I do not remember her name. I also received an email from Lizbeth letting me know of the changes to my room, which was very kind. I will be staying here again if I ever travel to this area. Thank you, Sheraton Palo Alto!

"We wanted a hole in a wall place to have lunch while in this area. We looked up this place ahead of time and headed over here after our morning activity. Has their own lot and two men and women restroom located outside in their parking lot. Indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for indoor and the man who checked us in got us a high chair for our little one. Lamented menus and the decor is very outdated and homey. Service is a minimal which we are perfectly fine with. The food took a while to come out even though we arrived shortly after they opened at 11am and it wasn't overly busy. Yaki Onigiri $6.95 (2 pieces. Grilled rice balls, soy sauce butter flavored, no filling Well done. All three of us were able to enjoy this. Came out pippin' hot! Dohatsuten Ramen $16.25 (Spicy garlic minced pork, shredded chili, chashu pork, stewed taro pork, cabbage, carrots, green onions, chives, bean sprouts, nori seaweed, half egg My husband's. He enjoyed it. Taro Pork Ramen $15.95 (simmered tender pork belly, green onions, bean sprouts, spicy bamboo shoots, nori seaweed, half egg* extra noodles. We both got ours with Tonkastu broth. Unfortunately, I felt like the broth was spicy. I don't like spicy and we came with our toddler in which I was sharing my noodles with. I can eat spicy but it doesn't make my dining experience enjoyable. My pork belly was soft and delicious. We won't be coming back unfortunately as I don't want to be surprised by a spicy broth. Price point is good."
