Delicious food. It wasn't booked when we were there, so we didn't wait so long for dinner. It could be renewed.

"Due to the persistent bad and cold weather in Hanover, this Sunday afternoon did not even arrive at the Gosch holiday feeling at the Maschseefest. After 2 glasses Bianco Spinalba (very tasty my dear wife came the idea: Go back to the meteor – we were no longer... Short call (reservations unfortunately not possible online and a table for 20:30 was reserved. So we drank and went on the way from Lake Maschsee through the city to the Hamburger Allee. From the outside the meteor currently sees construction site, the regular entrance is closed. At the other end of the building, the owners and hosts Panagiotis “Jiotis” Katsanos waited for us and welcomed us for the most beautiful. When we entered the meteor, the assumption – here we are rebuilt – was confirmed in a great style. Jiotis led us first through the new beach area – towards the already finished main dining room where a wonderful Mediterranean market atmosphere prevails. A nice continuation of the former entrance and bar area. Our favorite room, the library (the club room is currently closed and houses a helpful counter for drinks, but is reopened in old style. Jiotis promised us another construction site tour after the food, brought greetings and the extensive maps. A female operation picked up drinks requests and brought the iPad with the specials – now integrated into a wooden bowl, remained in continuous loop during the ordering and selection process at the table. Our choice: Grilled Calamari filled with paprika and sheep cheese to share, lamb Katharaki on tomato level for my wife and pig medals on sheep cheese sauce, Mediterranean vegetables and rosemary salads for me. A beer for a woman (unfortunately Greek, Greek water and white wine (Kali G. for me! Fresh bread (Gaues, olive oil and salad plate, which could be filled at the buffet) came with drinks. Usually I don't like it, but given the gigantic proportions here in the meteor it is possible to get olives. The appetizer came after a reasonable waiting period and was great. 4 (Four! filled Calamarituben on salad for 7,90 EUR were more than sufficient for 2. And it tasted wonderful. The preparation of the dishes takes place very carefully in the meteor, so it is usually not necessary to ask a break between start and main meal. And so it was today. There is plenty of time to climb bread and olives and observe the well-equipped, attractive audience in the meteor – in short: relaxed holiday feeling stood up. When the main meal arrived, a little hunger came back with me – a good sign that the timing was perfect. The lamb (New Zealand of my wife was perfectly cooked and the long grain noodles. The tomatoes reflect a dream – the part enormous, so much a bit for me. The pig (from a regional organic farm was also of excellent quality and despite the sheep cheese sauce, not really typical “Greek” in taste – very suitable for people who cannot benefit from the typical “Gyros Herkules Plate”. Desserts (e.g. at the table-flambierte cream Brulee or Greek mocha no longer succeeded. After the bill with Jiotis we went through the currently closed areas, for example the new bar area or the cooking studio. I am convinced that this will be grandiose and feverish towards the opening at the end of September. Conclusion: The best “Grieche” in Hanover and the surrounding area, but not just that! The Meteora is recommended for every friend of the Mediterranean cuisine who want to forget and enjoy everyday life for a few hours."
