"I have been driving by this restaurant for almost 10 years now but have yet to try it until recently. I was craving Bun Bo Hue and decided to give this place a try. The space inside looks way better than the outside so that was a nice surprise. I ordered the fresh spring roll and the beef special spicy soup. The fresh spring roll was super basic: shrimp, noodles and lettuce. A bit of fresh herbs like mint or basil would really make a difference here. The Bun Bo Hue broth was underwhelming. Not enough spice/flavor. The variety of meat was good but definitely not your typical authentic offering.Service was very good. Maybe the pho will be better. But I would definitely not order the fresh spr...

The food here is the bomb. Reasonably priced, and worth stopping. I like the fresh spring rolls and the V10 on the menu. The service is fast and on point.

I have been eating here since it was the South China House at least 18 years I'd say. The consistency of the food they put out never wavers. Always solid. The fried spring rolls here are as good as anywhere I have ever eaten amazing. V6 or V7 is the real deal Bun Cha try it ouy!

Great lil place in Liberty park area, Tasty Pho, a good measure of the quality comes form the meat selection. I got my favorite of rare beef with meatballs. The bowl cam with a plentiful amount of meat. The broth was piping hot and was a huge portion. Great exotic flavors of coriander and lemongrass. The potstickers were a great appetizer that i got 2 orders. Prices were reasonable with 2 bowls of Pho (1 being Vegan) and 2 orders of potstickers it came to about $30. All in all a good deal.

"I speak as a tourist. I was delighted this place has dedicated, on-the-menu options – as it is apparently open late, it would seem to be worth keeping in mind for that reason. This, and the empanada's great value, lead me to give it three stars. That said, there were some oddities. I got the vegan arepa and the vegan empanada. They were both filled with *exactly the same ingredients* and the empanada was bigger than the arepa – but the arepa costs more than 2x as much. Given these circumstances, and the fact that I liked the empanada more, I can see the empanada being a great deal for a vegan looking late night or for a bit of variety. Both of them were on the bland side, however, and far from imaginative. I did enjoy the plantains in both; otherwise, it was mainly black beans and some avocado. (From the menu, it appears that their several vegan items seem mainly to be rearranging these same ingredients. The small amount of chimichurri I was given added some flavor and was ok, but did not knock my socks off. None of it was bad, and I do think they made at least the arepa fresh with decent ingredients, but there just wasn't much flavor. Finally, they use big styrofoam packaging for to-go, which is actually enough to mean I would avoid eating here again. (Not being a local, I don't know how common this is, but I know it's not even nominally recyclable in SLC and that not all places do it. Updated from previous review on 2021-09-05"
