"This place is so good. Traditional Jamaican island flavors and dishes of a variety of curries and jerk. Used to live in the islands and miss this kind of food. All platters come with 2 sides. The rice and peas and steamed cabbage are sooo good you?ll be speechless the first few bites. The Mac n cheese is legit good. You can only get that as a separate side but it?s worth it. If you go there for the first time there are two locations right next to each other. The left side has mostly seafood dishes, but the lines are always at the place on the right hand side, if you want the jerk or curry or the good sides, go to that door. When you get to the counter, know what you want in advance or the p...

Food is excellent. Serving sizes out side of the mini are huge. The line can be a little long at times, but that 's what happens when your food is good. Worth the wait, plus they move so quick, especially the young guys running the front.

I used to come here often. Then I moved so it's been a couple of years until yesterday. The food was okay. The mac is bland. They give A LOT OF RICE with the platter. Not a lot of veggies or meat. The jerk chicken comes dry and they provide two little cups of sauces on the side. I asked for more sauce and the lady lied and said it was on the platter. It was NOT. The cabbage was really good (it used to be hard). The pepper steak was good but a little dry. They're stingy with the juice. Overall, 3/5.

"We were there celebrating two birthdays. Our server Faith was wonderful. She was attentive without being intrusive and knowledgeable about the menu. We were a table of 6 and ordered quite a bit of food, some of which was great and others lackluster. The bao buns were great and the small calamari salad was huge and those who had it said delicious. The spareribs were good as well as the edamame dumplings, although the way those were served made it hard to fully enjoy. Each dumpling should be on a individual type spoon so you can enjoy the soup part as well as the dumpling. The way they were served in one large bowl with only one spoon made it so the soup part is left at the bottom. I did request extra spoons from the expediter but they never came. The worst part of our appetizer course was somehow an item was switched to another in the computer and served to us. It had shellfish in it and that wasn’t known when someone at our table who doesn’t eat shellfish ate it. The sashimi was good but the tuna tartare thing was really bad. The entrees we had were the duck, which I was told was delicious, the miso cod, which was fishy, the whole fish which was tasteless, the lobster fried rice, which was okay but lacking flavor. The best dish was the black pepper beef, it was delicious and elegantly served. We had all the sides and all were quite good especially the eggplant and the wasabi mashed potatoes. It was a nice evening but it felt a little stale for a Starr restaurant."
