"I had several Omakase restaurants in mind, but they were all fully booked a month in advance. Raku, however, does not have a set time block for Omakase; you can enjoy it at any time during your meal. Reservations are highly recommended due to the small size of the restaurant. We opted for the premium course ($120) over the deluxe course ($150). Raku specializes in Robat'a style grilling over hot coals, and we particularly enjoyed the half-grilled meats, vegetables, and seafood. The house-made tofu had a texture similar to fresh ricotta, and we were advised to try it with both their special soy sauce and Japanese green sea salt. This was my first time dining at this restaurant. I believe they should provide a warning that groups of 6 or more will be required to order the chef's tasting menu exclusively. It would be helpful to alert those with large groups who may not want the tasting menu. The food was decent, although I would have preferred the option to choose from the regular menu. The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, but I was disappointed that I was not able to try other menu items.

"Overall: 4.1/5 dine in)Such a cool coffee shop in the Arts District. The staff here is so friendly and fun! They DJ their own music and vibe to it while they work. The music was so good, you could catch me lip singing or tapping along to the beat. They have a water station and wifi so it's a great spot to work. I did for a few hours and thoroughly enjoyed my time there.Iced Miso Caramel Latte $6.50): This is a seasonal drink so I had to try it before it's no longer available. It was very interesting to say the least. Didn't taste like anything I had before. I didn't taste the coffee really but the different components in this drink. You get hints of banana cream foam, miso caramel, and latte flavors randomly and subtlety. The latte isn't sweet and the espresso isn't strong so you don't get that bold coffee taste. Cool to try once but I wouldn't get it again.Truffle Croissant Sandwich $9): I asked them to add veggies only had lettuce) since I needed my fiber but lettuce doesn't go with the sandwich. The sandwich itself was big and filling. I also felt like they had a bunch of different flavor profiles that were good individually but didn't work cohesively. I tasted everything but the truffle-parm though which is supposed to be in the gravy. The egg was runny which was nice. The gravy was good and not salty. My favorite thing about the sandwich was probably the everything croissant. I think it would be really good by itself as well. Similar to the latte, the sandwich was good to try once since it's different but it wasn't savory enough to satisfy my umami taste buds. Wouldn't get it again."
