"Waterfront seating was nice, seaweed salad and edamame were good, sushi and noodles were very average and wouldn’t order again, but the real reason for the low review is the server. This woman was unfriendly, messed up my order, and when I brought it up she just laughed it off and said, “I didn’t hear you.” Didn’t even offer to try and fix it. Then she brought the check before we were even done eating without asking if we wanted desert or anything else. Was it so busy they were trying to make room for the line out the door, you ask? Nay, friend. We were one of three parties there… The best part was when I tried to feed a piece of my incorrectly ordered, mediocre chicken to the snapping turt...

Best sushi in South Florida. My favorite signature rolls are Ninja roll and Spicy Rainbow roll.

We always have a good time at Rise, but this time was especially delightful. We had an early dinner, ordered different items on the menu, and had cocktails. Our server was a young man who was attentive and helpful. We had not been to Rise in ages, so I think that made it even more special.

"Decent at best. That’s all really. It is very noisy- by design. Look up and you’ll see why. The ceiling is designed to carry the noise from the bar throughout the restaurant. And honestly I don’t care to listen to the bumpin music they’re playing at the bar when we’re at our booth 50+ feet away. It is also very dim. Extremely poor lighting, according to our waitress (who was very nice) this is also by design because other diners have made comment about this too and she said she’s mentioned it and the feedback she gets is “it creates the ambience.” Yeah okay…… “ambience.” The food is decent at best. Caesar salad was pretty good. But what is up with the streak being doused in butter? There was a pool of butter on my plate around my steak. Is the lighting dim in the kitchen too? Can the chefs not see what they’re doing? All in all, New York Prime is not any better than Morton’s or The Capital Grille. In fact, we probably should have gone to one of those two. There’s nothing New York about this restaurant at all. After returning home we decided to check out New York Prime’s website and read their menu story about how “New York Prime is a different kind of steakhouse.” If you ever want a laugh, read that. You’ll tear up, it’s hilarious. Proprietors seem very full of themselves! Anyway, we were very unimpressed, will definitely not be returning."
