"Tricked into paying $3 extra for buffet They had a tea thermos sitting at the buffet, there was a sticker in the corner that said tea is not part of the buffet. Many people like us assumed that tea is part of the buffet (which is the usual case in other indian buffets). They charged us $3 extra for each tea. The tea was stale and tasteless, we couldn't drink it after a couple of sips. When we pointed it out to the server, she just said sorry and went ahead charging us $3/buffet extra. You can keep our $6 (for our two buffets), but don't expect us back. This is a bad practice, we will not be shying from warning our friends and family about it."

Recently I went to Shiva for lunch with my 2 years old and had a very terrible experience! I'm ashamed to say that there are restaurants with such a setting... We were both very hungry and wanted to sit down and get the buffet. Even if there was an empty table, they wouldn't sit me — the reasons were: Oh well, I can't sit on that table Your child will make a mess, and the main traffic is here so that I can't give this table to you ... I was shocked how I was treated... You actually sent me back. If you want to be discriminated for one reason or another, go here....

I think this is a slightly elevated Indian place with bedding. But for my palate it wasn't better than the typical Indian place, not that I was super distinguishing taste. To be fair, we went to lunch where it is the typical Indian buffet, so maybe they could not show their uniqueness. But everything was just. The only unique element was a tomato soup that I haven't seen in an Indian restaurant yet. The only outstanding element was the naan that was delicious (but very oily). The chicken of butter, the dish I usually use to compare, was simply OK. It's much better with Amber India and Kabababab Currys. But again I'm not an Indian food expert.

"We wanted a hole in a wall place to have lunch while in this area. We looked up this place ahead of time and headed over here after our morning activity. Has their own lot and two men and women restroom located outside in their parking lot. Indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for indoor and the man who checked us in got us a high chair for our little one. Lamented menus and the decor is very outdated and homey. Service is a minimal which we are perfectly fine with. The food took a while to come out even though we arrived shortly after they opened at 11am and it wasn't overly busy. Yaki Onigiri $6.95 (2 pieces. Grilled rice balls, soy sauce butter flavored, no filling Well done. All three of us were able to enjoy this. Came out pippin' hot! Dohatsuten Ramen $16.25 (Spicy garlic minced pork, shredded chili, chashu pork, stewed taro pork, cabbage, carrots, green onions, chives, bean sprouts, nori seaweed, half egg My husband's. He enjoyed it. Taro Pork Ramen $15.95 (simmered tender pork belly, green onions, bean sprouts, spicy bamboo shoots, nori seaweed, half egg* extra noodles. We both got ours with Tonkastu broth. Unfortunately, I felt like the broth was spicy. I don't like spicy and we came with our toddler in which I was sharing my noodles with. I can eat spicy but it doesn't make my dining experience enjoyable. My pork belly was soft and delicious. We won't be coming back unfortunately as I don't want to be surprised by a spicy broth. Price point is good."
