"We were passing through and thought we would stop at this little hole in the wall that was recommended by Trip Advisor. The place was packed and people still were lining up to get in. Order at the counter and they bring it out. Paper plates and cups. No, its not fine a dining experience, but that’s probably how they can pass those savings along to the customers. Good prices and some AMAZING food!!!! Patacon Plantains are off the chain! 100% recommend if your in the area!"

Smithey's Restaurant in West Jefferson is a great place to eat. You can order off of the menu or eat the buffet. It's a friendly, hometown, home cooking place for breakfast and lunch. I hope they will start serving supper before long, at least a few nights a week.

My friend told me about this place a couple years ago. I don’t know why I haven’t tried it till now. I ordered a Cuban sandwich and some plantains. The Cuban was phenomenal. The plantains were fabulous. Tony was awesome as well. I will definitely be ordering from here more often.
